Faith to me means believing something that had absolutely no proof of existence, because it makes you feel better.

 

Actually faith just means a strong belief.

 

If you have faith in the existence of the Hebrew god of war,imo you've been indoctrinated to believe in it,as is evidenced by the fact as soon as the indoctrination stops the entire religion starts to die.

We have done a few jobs for wealthy Jews in London and your right they have some strange requests... Did a bedroom for a married couple two single beds with a sink in the middle between them? Bit extreme I thought can't he just use the curtains to wipe his knob on like everyone else?

I think one of the reasons people are believers ,,,,as humans we just can't believe after death "that's it",,, it's just somthing us humans can't get our head round ,,,because we're the top animal on this planet there must be a reason,,,and somthing planned for us after death,,,we just can't accept there's not somthing greater to go to...or what's the point...

 

Like I said I'm an atheist ...and accept after death,,,that is it,,in ground as worm food,,circle of life and all that...

I think they all sleep in single beds don't they...and the sink is normally on the landing outside the toilet.

I went out with an Israeli girl years ago and from what she said most normal secular Israelis dislike the ultra Orthodox Jews, her father even preferred Arabs to them.

I worked on an orchard over there and during harvest 10% of produce has to be sacrificed to God. Out kibbutz was not religious so we were told to pick up all the bruised windfalls, dump them in the cart and spread a layer of good apples on top, this was for the rabi offer to God.

Apparently Jesus sacrificing himself done away with all the sacrificing stuff in the previous Judaism religion.
