pesky1972 5,634 Posted March 20, 2016 Report Share Posted March 20, 2016 Barry Hines, who wrote the book 'A Kestrel for a Knave', which was the basis for Ken Loach's 'Kes', has died. I first saw the film probably late 70's as a young lad and it fired a fascination and love for the Kestrel and raptors in general that I still have today.
