That was a decent scrap, 2 young lads really having a go.. We're a fickle race eh, Joshua gets really tagged, comes through it and finishes the fight in a bit of style.. But he's still, chinny, the next Audley, a drugs cheat ffs... not many heavies now would have taken the punishment Whyte took and kept coming forward, infact I think a fair few would have folded with what AJ took in the 2nd round tbh... Both should be proud of their performances, Whyte will upset a few yet I reckon, another stepping stone for Joshua, proved a few things and probably learnt a load about himself...

It's crazy to think how far Heavyweight boxing has come in the last 8 or 9 years,I remember when channel 5 first started showing boxing and the British heavyweight title contenders and champion was between Matt Skelton,Danny Williams,Michael Sprott and Audley Harrison,maybe more I can't remember.

 

I doubt any of them on their best day would last the distance with any of the current top 5 current fighters.

 

Things are really looking up for heavyweight boxing now that the most boring champion in history no longer holds the belt,and it will be fighters from Britain fighting over that belt for the foreseeable future.
