Anyone Know Much About Bullmastiffs?

So ive been lumbered with this big mutt for a few days from my mother while shes away. She tells me shes a full mastiff but im not 100% it is she got her from a rescue so breeding is unknown. I know it doesnt matter what it is but im just curious what you lads think. She stands at about 24tts.

Bird kept bull mastiffs in the 80s wasn't it ... The breed as changed alot since then

Hmm I wouldn't say straight bull mastiff myself, she's got the markings, but her head looks boxer like?!? That said, I'm not all that clued up on these breeds. Nice bitch nonetheless

Cheers lads shes my mams pride and joy i dont know how she keeps it fit its the laziest thing i opened the front door this morning and it took one look at the rain and fecked of back to bed lol. She has got a fairley big underbite is that common in most mastiffs? Im intrested to see what bird has to say ive heard him mention them a few times in posts.

Thats why i thought she was mabye crossed because any other i have seen are pretty heavy looking.

They can vary quite a bit in size depending on lines and obviously most you see will be overweight, that bitch is nice and trim

Funny how she looks a nice dog yet ends up in a rescue and yet people will pay silly money for a less healthy over weight example. Looks a nice dog mate bet your mum spoils her rotten if shes anything like mine. My dogs the same with the rain looks at you like your having a laugh.

it looks ok , it prob been fed about the right amount at the kennels,, alot over bullmastiff people over feed them today .i kept mine as slim as could when kept mine . . my male won best male at crufts in the 80s , was tall 27in but not over heavy, and head was spot on , not over bully or mastiff, was perfect balance for the breed. i left the breed because of all the health probs in the breed, they got over heavy and to docile temp. the proper bullmastiff was a dog about 24-27in and -110lb more like a ridgeback size of today or like my 1x gsd xgrey Buck 28in 86lb that the working weight of a night time keepers dog the old type bullmastiff., thats what the breeders should be breeding towards , not big dogs just for money.. they were once very good old type british guard dog shame there changed , whats its temp like pm if you want if you want any more info on this breed..!
