  1. Beautiful tools mate. But I'd lose something like that in a season!
  2. Its healthier to breathe directly from the exhaust of an HGV fitted with a Euro 5 engine than it is to walk around Beijing.
  3. Do you eat them? Can they be hunted with dogs?
  4. Sthil with 13" guide bar. And learn how to use/maintain it!
  5. I prefer rough coated dogs. But your right about harsh coats. A wire coat is a must in a long haired lurcher
  6. Generally because they're too big. I meant as a strong dog. I remember seeing pics of a bull x Wheaton by the Irish lads, but can't remember his name. Nice looking dog though.
  7. I'm sure she's a useful animal, but I'm more interested in a pure bred...
  8. Been a while since we had a working Wheaton thread. Is there anyone working one alongside their earth dogs? My life is not suited to such an animal at the moment, but in the future I quite fancy getting one, probably once I move to somewhere more terrier friendly.
  9. We're in the UK? I've kennel space for a few near Glos if you're coming down this way...
  10. Working terriers for sale. It's the chosen method of getting rid of jackets, as well as the place to be for peddlers and dog swappers...
  11. Sounds like a good plan! I wonder how asy it would be to have a few linked together? Like a tented house?
  12. Pleased to see it. Strengthens the case for a US style 'stand your ground' law. Reasonable force is far to open to interpretation. Pleasantly surprised the police didn't try to do her for assault. A man once dragged my now wife down an alley when she walked home from a night out in Peckham. She was the only one to walk back out...
  13. Has this dog just been sold on Facebook?
  14. Get a Dexter cow and calf. Then calve her down and have a rolling programme of one calf at foot and one killing heifer/steer. Small and thrifty will not damage fields too much and will finish off grass.
  15. Aye it will be fine. Movement of meat within EU member states is pretty much unrestricted. Do these friends have any fox or badgers which they want thinning out as well?
  16. I'm over the border but don't mind travelling. Drop me a PM
  17. Fascinating video. Hard to watch the dogs getting slammed into the gates, though. I had to watch a few more similar ones after that as the whole herding thing is so interesting. Seeing the way a small predator can gain control over enormous cattle. The power of the eye, that determination and focus is amazing. I just got the feeling if the dogs were bit harder and use there teeth more, say like a acd would , they control the cattle better , and prob the dogs not get so knocked about. Holding back like they are , is making the cattle domineer the dogs more , well that's how it looks to me.
  18. Don't worry mate, I'll bring my beddy whippet over and show them how it's done.
