  1. ... I live in vain hope of someday getting that jewellery I covet ... I don't really need much, I just want my sprogs to have a good Crimbo. It'd be nice if my ex husband dropped dead tho. Not too much to ask is it?
  2. Crikey those pics of 'Andy' cracked me right up! Ace Do you never see the beavers when they're having a chomp? Should try to get some pics of them
  3. Does anyone know how the lad was grabbed? What a frightful thought .... my cousin was abducted and murdered by a peado. He took her from a busy park. They found her stuffed into his fridge. I've done my best to teach my kids from an early age about strangers - kids and adults alike. What to do if someone tries to grab them etc. I drill it into them. I lost one of the twins in Asda once and someone picked her up and took her to the tills. That was the day I realised just how easy it is for someone to take a kid, as my daughter never made sound when the stranger picked her up. She knows
  4. Thanks for the comments folks Undi I don't have any filters yet. I use a graduated filter when I process them sometimes to make up for it. It's not the same but it does help a bit. Filters are on my crimbo list, along with one of those fancy camera straps mentioned in another thread (just in case Snoop is reading ).
  5. My Canadian grandfather was at Juno Beach. He married my English Grandmother, who was a Military nurse. Respect to all, past and present, who fight for freedom.
  6. I'd never even heard of those straps. Think I'll put that on my Christmas list!
  7. That's smashing, I'd be over the moon with that! I never ever get close enough to them - usually just a little red streak in the distance if I'm lucky
  8. I've been working on more 'creative' shots lately - I find landscapes really difficult. I have a little gallery display going up next spring of shots I'm doing for a National Trust property so I've been mooching around it and playing with settings. I hope they'll like some of my new Autumn shots. And this one isn't for the gallery, I took it yesterday from horseback while I was out hacking - no mean feat I can assure you! Thanks for looking
  9. Not to pick, but I have to say that I would not be happy with a dog that size who 'within seconds' went from cute to barking at a bunch of kids. Just my opinion, but a well trained dog of that size and strength really shouldn't feel the need to bark at children or need to be hauled back from them.
  10. Spent half an hour hiding in a ditch whist some keepers were riding about on their quads lamping for fox. Fell over a fence in the dark and flattened a very pretty bed of early Daffs, and then ended up with sciatica for a month. I blame Moll for that one
  11. If it does look mucky, a bit of Manuka honey in a dressing over night works a treat too
  12. Think that road runs all the way down to Kiddrow Lane Jack. Probs one of the Stoops lads, no doubt!
  13. If you glue/staple it before you clean it you'd be keeping all the dirt and possible infection inside I'd clean it with saline and use cut and heal or purple spray depending on how bad it is. A cut foot needs resting - glue or no glue, don't run it until it's properly knit. Lead walks only for about 10 days if it's deep.
  14. That is proper cool! Beavers are ace little critters, love watching them work. A bunch of us went up to the cottage in Northern Ontario once, beavers had been at the railing around the decking. Didn't noticed till we leaned back against it to enjoy our first beers of the weekend and the damn thing gave way
  15. Oh and I hasten to add - this dog is lose in the Rossendale Rd/Rosegrove area of Burnley. What that probably means is someone's let it out for a walkabout on it's own; it's pretty common round there.
  16. You, sir, are a first class knob jockey. Cats in Darlo are hard as feck .... I've heard it all now. If I caught your dog killing a cat in my garden - that dog would meet the sharp end of my spade. As would you if I saw you letting your dogs have a scrag of someone's cat. You're nowt but an Urban Cowboy and shouldn't be allowed a goldfish. Go get yourself an xbox and give your dogs to someone worthy of them.
  17. That could belong to any number of lads I've seen round here. Posted elsewhere to get the word out
  18. I've once or twice moved fencing that was broken and hanging dangerously - or deliberately left in a dangerous place, as it sometimes is. But I'd never dream of damaging someone's property like that.
  19. Ever so jealous of your heron shots! Well ... of all of them, really Superb as ever
  20. There's a lot of them around here as well - I thought I was seeing things.
  21. Oh and people who, whilst in the middle of a conversation with you, decide to pick their nose and examine the treasure ... and then casually flick it away. GROSS
  22. well i cant beleive a lady would come out with fancy a shag on a shooting forum paul She's a lot of things but she ain't no lady! People who don't say thank you when you hold a door for them. Men who open doors, charge through them and expect you to just 'keep up' People who allow their children to become obese. Men in flip flops. 'Tis ok round the house but not cool out in public. Anybody from the BNP.
