  1. Yer well the lurcher has a split pad so she's laid up. Was going to spend the morning mooching with the kids and other dogs ... one of the kids woke up at 5.20 this morning and spent the entire day being sick. So I've got one stir crazy lurcher, one wound up whippet, a terrier with cabin fever, one puking kid and two other kids bouncing off the walls. Beat that!
  2. I suppose so Johnny but he's giving it a go ... and he seems committed. I've made mistakes with my dogs (and still do if I'm honest ), but my intentions are good and I learn from those mistakes. Maybe this lad will too? At least the dog is appreciated for what it is and what it could be instead of what it was, if you get me.
  3. Why keep banging on and on and on ... dogs got a home. Lad who had it is happy, lad who took it is happy. Ffs just leave it already.
  4. I love having kennels ... only got them this summer tho. Dogs sleep out, but they're in during the day when I'm home. Times like this when I'm busy cleaning and seeing to the kids tho, I chuck 'em out. The set up suits them and suits me. Their coats have adjusted well, and obviously I've upped their food to see them through the cold nights. The whippet does wear a fleece when the temp is close to the freezing mark. I never put coats on them when I'm walking them. Our walks consists of rapid road walking, an hour or so mooching, then more road walking home. They get back to a warm hose, a
  5. Covered in fox cr@p, and look how happy he is ... hosepipe now attached to the hot water outside so I don't have to trail him through the damn house to get it off. Minger!
  6. Oh er, I reckon I met the same pike! Bloody dogs!
  7. It's about time you English folks started using winter tires. Never known a nation of cripples like you lot when it snows!
  8. Don't care what you say about cattle/horse crap - fox beats it by a mile
  9. Innit just - I've watched it about 10 times now The guy laughing on the video is just as good as the streaker. Showed it to the kids 'cause you can't really see the guy's bits. My son actually fell over he was laughing so hard
  10. Cheers ... she's greyhound/saluki/beddie/beardie/bull ... no idea in what order or who was what tho
  11. You reckon? lol That night was a proper giggle
  12. Frontline does interrupt the breeding cycle so once applied, any fleas you do still see will eventually die of and the problem will resolve itself. Got to give it time to do it's job
  13. 100% spot on. I've seen many vets proclaim the need to stitch a stopper that is coming away - rarely does it work out. My bitch recently sliced hers in this fashion: I cleaned it, lead walked her and let it heal up. It took about 3 weeks or so but it's a much better route the farting around at the vets with it.
  14. Two words: FEED BUCKET. Oh and Me: That's a fox. You: It's a sheep! Me: Nope, that's a fox. You: It's a sheep. Me: FFS It's a fox You: It's a sheep. Me: There it goes.... You: f**k me that's a fox!
  15. Coming in from the cold to a hot bowl of tomato soup with parmesan cheese and black pepper Bedding that's been washed, line dried, and put back on the bed the same day. Cheesecake
  16. A lot of vets will say they have to have a season before they're spayed. I disagree for the most part. I prefer to let them mature for as close to a year as possible and then spay weather they've had a season or not. Vets will say to wait, but you can tell them to do it anyway if you feel the bitch has matured enough and should be done. No way could I cope with an in season bitch in my house. She drives me round the bend at the best of times but in season? I'd probably kill her
