  1. It is entirely unfair that you get to have all the fun. I'm so jealous! Grand to see the Rude Boy out having a good time
  2. I grew up in a big city, but always found a green space somewhere to belt around in - on foot, on bikes, on dirt bikes. Always had dogs too. When I came here and got a dog just 'cause I liked him, I was happy with that. Then he ran out of the woods with a live bunny and handed it to me and it was magical Mine are pets if you want to be technical, but there is nothing - nothing - that compares to mooching about with them in the countryside, seeing them do what comes naturally or just enjoying the sight of them. Having a wolf x as a family pet years ago made me appreciate the sight of a dog doi
  3. I have always held the opinion that anything Bob Martin is about as useful as tits on a bull. You'd be better off getting proper wormers as mentioned in the post.
  4. I am SICK with envy! What a great day and, as always, a superb write up supported by equally superb pics. Wish I could get Rigby out for some action like that - he's not much bigger than Satan lol
  5. Just tried to bell you missus, but no joy. Any news on our lad today? ... seems to me you need that Estate holiday more than ever at the moment. When Rude Boy is on the upswing, pack a bag and get down here for a break
  6. not heard of a jesus snake before? wont come back from the dead in 3 days will it Bloody awful, if I saw something like that in my garden I'd faint. Bleurgh!
  7. Looks like a proper crackin' day out Moll. And the weather yesterday was perfect for it. I only wish I could've popped along with mine

This was cooked off quickly in a hot pan. Didn't even have to chew it, it was beautiful. Don't think I'll be getting more any time soon but if I do I'll try the slow cooker.

I had some munty loin a while back, and it was fabulous. A really nice, tender meat. But I suppose that's down to age as much as anything else? The younger the better, so I was told.
  10. When I had my first lurcher, I met a lad in the woods near me with a dog who turned out to be litter mate to mine. I asked him if it worked, he said 'course it does, doesn't yours? I said noooooo he's just a pet, probably couldn't catch a cold. Then he loped out of the woods with bunny and dropped it live at my feet. I'm sure the look on my face was priceless (shock, mixed with extreme excitement and pride since that was the first thing he'd ever caught). Didn't really drop me in it but he did make me look a plonker My greyhound picked up a cat in a kid's park once and did several laps of
  11. cragman, Hamilton is really far from Toronto I grew up in that city. My uncle used to live in Hamilton. They're like two different worlds all together. Immigration to Canada got really hard after the American 9/11 thing. They don't make anything easy ... Unless you're an asylum seeker, that is. You'll enjoy it when you're out, for sure
  12. Erm, you're quite wrong there. If your lad is living near Toronto (where I come from originally) he'll know. They've a massive immigrant population, plenty of asylum seekers and benefit stealing piss takers. It's not a problem unique to this country, that's for sure. ScotCarper, Calgary is a beautiful place. Always said if I went back home I'd look at Alberta first .. nothing to do at all with the cowboys in the stampede You will find all the information you need on the Canada immigration website. Do your research, get it all right. Don't use one of these agencies that say they can
  13. I did that bungee thing at Blackpool, they put you in a harness, run you up a zip wire and then fling you out over the pier. Was the BEST thing EVER. ... but if I'd seen that footage first I don't think I'd have done it!
  14. I was a member of a Celtic club back home - never missed a match. Many a morning (we're five hours behind there) spent in a pub downing pints, watching the game. Ex husband is a Hun. So, even tho I'm not as into as I used to be, every single Celtic win makes me do a dance of joy
  15. I never go out on New Year's now I've got kids. Can't find anybody willing to sit!
  16. Just got the whippet out of the kennel ... he's absolutely fine. Cancelled this morning's ferreting for nowt Reading some of these replies it's a wonder most of us are in one piece and still have dogs I lost my first lurcher, he got hit by a train. Now that was the most horrific day of my life. But I still went and got another one - what's life without them, I guess
