  2. Mine did that lamping one night Malt - head on in the dark, right into a kissing gate. Would've knocked me out cold but he just carried on - and missed the rabbit, of course. You wonder sometimes why they say it's only cats what have 9 lives
  3. FFS....i hope you and Cold Ethyl dont go out for a days hunting cause you'll need a f*****g mini bus for all your gear................. leave the 4x4 at home and walk next time you go shooting, the kit i listed only weighs about 40 pounds you lazy f****r. About 40lbs? I were only mooching local-ish, not setting off across the wilderness That's mental. I struggle with my flask and camera
  4. The screaming is awful isn't it. I couldn't work out what was best to do, 'cause he wouldn't stop screaming. My adrenaline was pumping, I was trying not to go arse of teakettle down the slope ... I suppose it was good he screamed tho - otherwise we'd still be there and nobody would be the wiser lol
  5. Lab I can't believe you parked up on the dog's foot Lucky escape that!
  6. You just couldn't make that sort of thing up. We've been that way hundreds of times. I just can't believe his leg isn't broken. He's resting now, just waiting to see if it swells up but so far so good.
  7. We read lots of stories on here about dogs having run in's with barbed wire, traffic accidents etc ... but has anyone ever been out with their dog, had an accident and walked away thinking wtf? Found myself childless for a few hours this afternoon. Loaded up the flask with coffee and headed out with the dogs. I didn't fancy the farm today - fields are well boggy - so I chose to go through a wood that runs along the back of it next to the River Calder. Sat on a tree root, had a brew, watched the river for a while, nothing but the sound of the water, the wind and the dogs rooting in the cov
  8. Just wondering if anyone knows what time this would kick off on Boxing Day? I fancy going along with the camera for a few shots. If you do know, please PM with the info so's not to give the tree hugging eegits any info
  9. All's I brought over with me was a bottle of Maple Syrup
  10. Great stuff Moll ... I really REALLY like Stella; nice to see she's back at it
  11. Might be Pernod. Either way it makes me sick.
  12. I'm not going to look .... I think I read somewhere that they like to skin them alive/cook them alive etc because they believe the adrenaline rush or whatever chemicals are released by the pain makes them taste better? It is disgusting. It was just as disgusting when it was the fish they deep fried alive. Eat what you what - but kill it humanely ffs.
  13. Nice walking stick maybe? One of them with a nice carved handle doodad on it?
  14. That was good to see .. .but you just know that cowardly little twat is the sort who'd come back in the dead of night and put your windows through or burn your house down. Once folks like that are humiliated things tend to escalate
  15. My guess would be a kidney issue, but you're better letting them run her bloods etc.
  16. I've had a pair of Hunter Balmoral Bamboo carbons for two years now. They lasted fair good considering that I walk a long way on the roads before I need them on the fields. I find them fit a bit bigish for me tho and as a result they flop around a bit on my feet. The sole has only just worn out - time for a new pair. I'm saving up for these soon as I can afford them http://www.uttings.c...un-brown-85015/

  18. OMG  No you do NOT!!! ... your hair is much curlier ....
  19. It's true tho! I used to watch Doctor Who many moons ago when Tom Baker and his big hair were the main attraction These days it's too confusing Christmas is only one day. I've lived through much much worse I can assure you It's exciting for them. I dread it, but they're happy and they're only little once. Got to make the most of it
  20. It was a bit of a cult type film a long time ago, watched it quite a few times. But since I moved to the UK it's gotten infinitely more funny
  21. I know it isn't really funny but that cracked me up  I fell out of a canoe into a thawing lake once (clever idea, to canoe through the ice). Never known anything like that feeling: heart stopping cold, gasping, sinking in layers of clothing, big winter boots on... the panic was total. Thankfully we were close enough to the dock I was able to get out with the help of my equally drunken friends Two years ago the whippet ran out onto the frozen canal after a bloody bird - lept right off the side like he was possessed, landed with an almighty thud and scudded across the ice. Thou
  22. Trust me, soon as the terrier is old enough we shall do just that!
  23. You're right there SH. They get it; they've been brought up so far to understand that Christmas isn't about an XBox. They'll be chuffed with the Cranium Jr game we'll play in the afternoon. And we've got a new wii game to play as well even tho current standings have me as the Mario Kart champion lol. We have a good bit of fun together (when they're not driving me round the bend )
