It's a no brainer really, never get rid of a nice collection of tuned springers just keep getting your mate to tune every new or second hand one you add to the collection.
You could always add a Hw 100 for hunting but every one should have a springer it's the law lol.
If I had to guess I think Christmas takes it's toll on our pennies. You can still trawl the shops and try out different rifles but please don't buy some cheap shite.
What optic is it? Just out of interest...
I think it's a 2002 Hawke on a 2015 rifle. I got it off a guy from York who was leaving GB to live in Spain and was gutted to part with the rifle but for some strange reason was sad to see the scope go and said he had moved it from rifle to rifle but thought it may be better to start again in Spain with items from a local shop, think the laws are different over there.
There are markings in black gloss on matt black scope which is hard to see but it says VAR62442 JS2002.01
The scope is long at 400mm and it's an AO with focus points at 10
I have Nikon Pro Staff 50mm and a sportsmatch one piece high mount on a hw100 FSB and there looks to be about 5mm gap. The Nikon has a 30 mm tube. It says high for 50mm scope on the sportsmatch web site.
The shroud on the fsb is bigger than the barrel on my hw100kt so there could be some room for it to be a bit closer but it looks good and zero's in fine. The lens cap on a Nikon is about 2 mm thick so there has to be enough room for that to fit on.
If you got the medium and it was tight you could always pack it up with a one piece bridge but they are not cheap.
Thank VM
I had looked on there page but could not see the link for 77 and I noticed that he offered 99 and 95 as a tuned option but not the 77 so thought he had stopped doing them.
Great have printed that link and will ring the after tomorrow.
I have never heard a bad word about woodfield.
Hello villaman
I was just looking around to day and seen that Wonky was having some time off and UK neil was retiring, not that keen on v mach,
was looking at woodfield and could not see any spring kits for hw77. Is the only constant SANDWELL FIELD SPORTS that has a shop you can drive up to. ? Is the tuning world shrinking.
Hello Colin
you have put up a shout about a shop and people have seen that, I have seen that and noted the name. I think there are a lot of people that check out the topics but don't post so any advert is better than no advert. There are a bunch of people on hear that just say whats on there mind but they have hearts of gold and know a thing or two about Air rifles.
Don't be offended it's a great forum.
