  1. Oddly. Some years ago I kept quail. I had a fairly big aviary for canaries, bully’s, goldies and various others. I had the quail as all they did was run around the floor and lay eggs. From memory I had a dozen and they were lovely. Jok.

  11. Been on this thread for a while. The olive situation I like. Whilst in the Middle East I had a go at them and actually liked them. Homous with olives was the way to go. Anyway met my now wife and returned to the UK. Turns out mum was born in Athens so as you might imagine the olive, and quite a few other things are regularly on our menu. Just saying. Jok.

  15. I’m busy putting together some ‘Haggis, Neep and potato’ pies. Little twist with the haggis. Onion, garlic and basil done in butter. I tasted and reckon it’s spot on. I’ve used proper turnip. It’s the presentation but I’m struggling with. Should they be layered or otherwise? At the end of the day it will taste the same. Jok..

  20. Just a thought. Why lug a great lump of steel about when you could make a very lighweight rod out of, either, something like cane or a chimney rod. Easy as heck to make. Jok.
  21. Good to hear that. Similarly I’m in tomorrow at 8.30am to have the catheter removed. I doubt very I’ll be using my old man any time soon. Jok.
