Them quail don't live high! Build a foot high run and youv'e cracked it.lol.

Got another 4 of them ready. The more I make the more I'm enjoying it. Little changes and a bit of input fro forum members is quite a stimulant. Doing a nice little challenge using the same ideas but for a 3 ferret box. Again light as hell so should be good.

Eh up son. How are you. Well, I advocate the mk 1 and certainly don't go stomping round the bury. Mine are all on long cords which I just swing across the ground. No need to stomp. No different to a good rabbit man using the mk 3. Less noise the better in my opinion. For saying that, whilst laying in my pit, a conversation was going on in my lounge which to be honest I heard every word. Rabbits and other ground animals must hear every sound and vibration because that is how they survive. Moral ? Quiet as you can but don't be disalusioned, they can hear you.

Buff Columbian lesser catchable fck you breed.

Graham m. Or anyone interested. I once ran a field test with 2 handlers, spaniel and Labrador over sugar beet. I had a launcher over a brow and had the handlers keep there dogs at sit. I then asked the handlers to retrieve the dummy whilst the dog watched. Well gentlemen, I think you you know where this was going. How to send a dog for a retrieve when you you had no idea yourself. Yes. I agree, dogs nose and all that, but the point was, did the handler have any idea.?? I'm clearly blathering but to be honest, it tested the handlers.

Beam. Not forgotten. Anything nice to show us. I've done loads of game things but not worthy of photography. -
Yours pal.

Find a knife and I'll supply the sheath foc. A little something I dabbled with.
-
By the way guys. Unless we want to be daft about it all, it migh be more prudent to pm me.
-
Size? Only small to medium. Problem being models with bigger appendages. Lol.
-
Well you guys. As the people who have one know, it's £35 including courier. I can't be more honest. Must be said that they are probably worth a lot more but semi retired and with a bloody great workshop, what else do you do.? I like making these smallish projects so if you want something specific then just ask. If I can I will.

Thanks for your support. I'm loving what I do as you know.jok.

Back to basics. A lightweight, ferret friendly, poachers box. All I'm doing is a hobby which hopefully helps our many friends on the forum, for as little as can be expected. If anyone has other ideas that may help then please let us all know. In the meantime I'll continue with these little gems. Your comments, as always, are greatly appreciated. Jok.

Moxy. If I thought for one minute that one of our pals would get hurt then I wouldn't use it. After your comment, I've been and rubbed my fingers vigorously up and down the mesh and to be honest haven't a problem. Still got all my digits. Lol. I guess there must be loads of alternatives out there so am now looking for the rubber coated expanding mesh. Any ideas pal??
-
Point taken Moxy. One train of thought was loads of air and light which would stop them clawing at air holes. Another, loads of air holes for them to claw at, and at the moment ,finally, a mesh screen inside and around the air holes which kind of defeats point 1. Then our local keeper suggested a kind of midway expanding mesh, literally half of the front. As they say, you can't do right for doing wrong but am open to all constructive comments. In the meantime I'm still making a few. Jok.

Sorry. I just read your pm properly. Pity about the wet ground which really holds you back, but, to be honest, you can walk on our ground in your slippers without much fear of getting mucky. I hit it again with the 'new' rotovator getting a patch ready for runner beans and of course the onions. One of my neighbours was so impressed that he has asked me to do his plot in the morning. I'll put a pic up when all the prep has been done. Thing is I don't have a lot of time now as the marquee season gets going with a bang at the end of April and then the garden has to take second fiddle. -

No mate, couldn't show the wife a good time. Lol. 100 for me and 50 each for some good friends. Hopefully one us will miss the dreaded little brown pest. -
You'll regret it. Mk1 all day long, in my humble opinion. All I keep thinking about when out is being reasonably quiet. With that thing screeching unmercifully I've got my doubts. Only an opinion.

And so it goes on. Another row of spuds, full row of peas, all sticked up and the ground ready for everything else. Getting my 200 Kelsie plants end of the week and had a good go in the greenhouse with seeds. After last years failures there are a number of things I'm not even having a go with. Only so many kicks you can take. -
I think maybe lost the thread. Anyhow. David Platt, aka Celtic Lurchers, aka Deerhound Hybrids, aka David Platt, English Game. Somewhere in Leicestershire. Google is the way to go. Can't give any more help but good luck.
