  1. Eh up son. Well I hit another section of mine with the rotovator and was well impressed with the result. The Kelsie are about ready so got everything sorted. Thinking about a sheath or cover this year. Anything to stop whatever fly wants a go. I watched a fellow gardener the other day hammering tubes into his ground. Apparently for his leeks? Never seen that other than at home when we grew for exhibition and that was 4inch tubes. Was given some celery plants and don't know what to do with them.
  2. Now that takes some believing. Landi trying to undo that thing.lol.lol. Reverse would work.
  3. Hope the pup wears a napkin. Wouldn't want a mucky floor now would we. Lol.
  4. Thinking on, it would be nice to see the new knife in the sheath.
  5. It was and is my pleasure. Jok.
  6. Thank you Socks. We try out best. Love it and it's available. Gaz came round and said as long as one is ready for October let it go.
  7. I enjoyed making that one. Well to be honest I enjoy making all of them. If anyone is interested in the little poacher boxes, there are a few ready. They are great with the mesh front. Instead of all that clawing you get the ferret looking at you waiting to be let out. (Well mine anyway).
  8. Was asked to make a double with section for locator/collars etc. If I may be so bold, not a bad result. Coloured and waxed.
  9. NC. Simple is generally best. Dowel can be bought from most diy and hardware places. All you rally need are a couple of small plaques making with the dowel in the centre , sticking out about 50/60 mm, one for in front of the butt/reel and the other towards the tip. No room required and relatively no cost or effort.
  10. Reminds mr Rabid Where is she moored?
  11. Good man Moxy. As I said all input is good. I was certainly not digging. New ideas for anything are genuinely accepted. Just love the job.jok.
  12. Oh we are going to have some conversations. I look forward to it and any other company we'll have. Remember me to the Kimmeridge levels when we meet. The best, fast diving I've ever encountered. 7/8 knots at about a metre above the seabed trying to collect crabs. Fantastic.
  13. It's a big problem. When I heard about walking in the ground and therefore transferring the spores really got me worried. One of the guys had a real problem and I had shared many a cuppa with him so was concerned. Fingers crossed. Rhubarb.?? I was always told that 3 years fallow was the only way. How the hell that works I don't know. I've got over the carrot fly problem . Don't grow any. Haha.
  14. Would if I knew what and where. Moxy doesn't like the one I'm using but to be honest it's as soft as a mop. How anything could be injured is beyond me. All ideas however gratefully accepted. Thank you.
  15. I can understand that. Fish are quirky. They are totally different with the tides and you can see that when down there. However, when you are on/in the plates of the wrecks it's a different game. If only I could show you the amount of tackle lost on the wrecks you'd be staggered. My mate and I wondered, as one does whilst having an after dive pint, how much value the gear that we could have brought to the surface? In the end though it was all about the sheer quality and Beauty of the surroundings we were in. I nearly lost my life on a deep dive but thanks to training and the most professional
  16. I was on the other end. I dived. When you guys were doing you thing with rods and lines, I was down there, in the murky depths, still doing a bit of fishing, albeit with a lobby hook and a crab bag. Never had a problem other than when on Chesil and was hooked. The guy must have thought he had a whale. The other most memorable times, other than Northern France, would have to be the Farne Islands. When I had my own boat we did regular trips there and to tell the truth, you can't explain just how good it is. To dive with the seals, to dive the gulleys and to dive through the middle of huge drafts
  17. Rabid. Would you consider a couple of lads coming down to do a bit? We'd love it. Not skilled but not boat shy. Had me own diving rig and was about a fair bit.
  18. Why bother? I know that's a negative but is it really worth the trouble?. My neighbours grew a grand 2 metre square and at the end of the year dropped the lot in the compost bin. It's a bit like the carrot fly, blight, club root. And all the other ailments. All we can do is treat and hope for the best. However, Hadrians wall was built to stop invaders. What do we do to stop garden invaders??
  19. Gaz popped round to pick up his ferrets. He's just had 2 weeks in South Africa shooting a few bits and pieces. Given me an idea for a lightweight treble box vented like the ferret boxes. Yet another variation. I'll have to contact Amazon soon. Haha.
  20. What do you do? Turn it upside down and put a bath in it.
