  1. Bring it on. By the time I was eventually furloughed getting paid true 80% of my salary it turned out to be the most chilled period of my life. I have replicated it this year, only working 4 days on 80% of my previous salary anyway. Would I welcome the retards walking about in nice places dropping litter, with retard dogs? No.
  2. Smiled when reading the spag boll references. Probably the 1st "exotic" food when us working class were becoming more adventurous with our pallet, certainly the 1st attempted to cook at home. My mam made great ones, we all loved it, apart from dad. It would have fallen into his "foreign muck " category at the time. That changed when the ability to eat out and enjoy holidays outside of the UK was no longer the preserve of upper and middle class. He would eat it but drew the line at spaghetti, we had to have it with chips. Mam expanded into chile con carne. Came home one day after looking f
  3. Thought they were KC? At one time anyway.
  4. The PM is offering the services of our armed forces to a foreign nation and then I read that the Red Arrows are being disbanded because we cannot afford them. I wish that they would make their minds up. Is the UK a wealthy superpower with money to burn or a nation on the bones of its arse unable to provide what its people want or need due to lack of funds?
  5. To any younger members or those who've not read EDRD, well worth it. Best working dog mag ever produced.
  6. The picture that Sinead O'Conner tore up had hung on a wall in her childhood home. Her mother was a devout Catholic, that photograph of the Pope was a religious icon in their house. After the death of her mother the photograph was the only thing that Sinead took from the house with the express intention of destroying it. It travelled with her for years. The video for Nothing Compares, the tears falling down her cheek was not scripted or rehearsed, she was singing to her mother. Maybe she's (was) crazy, or maybe ain't (wasn't)?
  7. An edited version, but cheers. Dance, and drink and screw
  8. No, I did try that once before. That one came from Greece with a thirst for knowledge. Got nothing back.
  9. She studied economics at Sunderland. No idea of the correct course name. It was not something that she wanted to do but her parents insisted, or no more easy ride money unless finishing a degree. Put a stop to here travelling. We remained friends but no more than that for my own sanity. I saved 2 people from topping themselves that became beguiled with her when she was at Sunderland
  10. OK, any chance you could post Christy Moore's Aisling please?
  11. 20's ago. She created a shit storm. I sorted some of it out. Why do you ask?
  12. Reading through this puts me in mind of a Czech friend of mine, even though we have not met in person for many years. She lived with me in the UK briefly, ended up staying here for longer than intended and finishing her degree at Sunderland Uni. Shortly after her initial arrival I was greeted with: I have been on your Metro today! Oh, OK I seen your women Oh, OK Many were wearing crop tops and short skirts, and skin tight leggings So, you wear the same? Yes, but they are fat! This girl was not just normal beautiful, she had grace, poise and elegan
  13. No way was that a 4.5 meter Great White shark, 3.5 meter tops. Typical fisherman Seriously though, how cool, calm and collected was that young man? Jesus Christ! Loved the Jock also "I'm no dying today". Brilliant!
  14. Make sure you ask for a price (is that even a thing anymore?) as there's a lot of us daft Geordies out there. Probably be down to 10/1 tomorrow
  15. Newcastle 10,520/1 on winning domestic treble... worth a quid?
  16. I emailed Donald Trump and asked that once he has sorted out the problems in Gaza if he could turn his attention to THL. His people replied to say that he's not a feck'n miracle worker.
  17. Hyedua... that's what I was thinking of. Some exotic fruit wood if memory serves.
  18. Theoben used some weird shit wood at the time.
  19. In some circumstances sticking them into care homes ultimately becomes the only option. Even if a person were to put their own lives on hold in order to care they ultimately will not have the necessary skills needed as time goes on. I do not think that was what you meant, and agree many people are quick to wash their hands and pass on responsibility. As a country, after an honest working life of paying taxes and NI contributions, we are failing those who deserve better. But getting back to Goly's thread, what about harvesting organs? Shame to waste them. At 70 will they be of any worth? M
  20. That is something that has been on the agenda for me for a few years now. Something always scuppers my plans :-). Funnily enough just before reading this post I had got the urge to put a few rounds through one of my prized possessions. Just goes to show you cannot put a spring powered air rifle away for a few years and expect decent groups when you next pick it up. Won't say the range, embarrassingly close, hence the desire for a bigger garden. If I'd went for chest cavity them antelopes would have dropped though.
  21. I will pass on your comments at the next neighbourhood watch meeting.
  22. Well, my neighbour, Alan Shearer, said we could have have put the game to bed in the 1st half.
  23. A bit disappointed with my club Newcastle today. Should have had the game won in 1st half. Don't get me wrong, I'll never become a boo boy and I'm still pinching myself at the incredible transformation over the last few years. But today, too much f***ing about in and around the 18 yard box. Running onto passes and letting the ball go to a team mate or silly back passes to a team mate in situations where a shot at goal was on. Borderline showboating. Need to get back to the drive and hunger. So much talent there now though, loving it. But we're not the Harlem Globetrotters.
