Lets See Them Whippets, Coarsing, Racing, Working
eastcoast replied to brenner's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I'm no expert but wouldn't worry about tape measures if you're wanting a whippet to do what whippets do. -
That's how far we advanced in a few years mr. Charts. Not long ago the only reason to watch Newcastle was in the hope that Maxi would create some magic, now we see it all over the pitch week in, week out. Winning a cup and playing in the Champions League, long may it continue.

I agree with what you say. My post was possibly poorly worded. Gordon is quick and skilful so obviously the opposition will try and stop him playing, not always fairly (you make good point when overseas opposition are not as aware of his ability). If no foul is given, particularly in the 1st half (how was it not a foul in the 1st half but is in the 2nd?), he will often stay on the ground or get up and whinge to the ref. Reducing us to 10 men and this has happened a few times when losing possession in our final 3rd (mostly since Lewis Hall and Livramento have been out) and they then go on to sc

Anthony Gordon is bit of an odd ball IMO. Seems a grounded down to earth lad but at the same time often has a "billy big bollocks" attitude in games. I love to watch him play all the same, for when he does what he can do is joy to watch. Lewis Hall back on the pitch last night could have a massive impact on Gordon's season. But, if his heart is at Liverpool, so be it. f**k him.

Decent game at St. James' last night. Good result, fantastic goal from a giant Geordie and superb away supporters. Met a few who had travelled with several generations of the same family. Only gripe was a minority of our fans who must have thought it was a 3rd round FA cup game and not a Champions League, expecting opposition to be steamrollered. How quickly they forget

You should have put it to bed in 1st half. I didn't say you won though, in case you're waiting for MOTD2

WHU v NUFC. Somewhat of a THL derby? My rose coloured spectacles showed a game where Hammers played a good game and Newcastle were not shite, these rose coloured glasses have thick lenses. Well done West Ham.

My apologies, something put together by far right extremists with personal memories or family/friends connection to those who served in WW1, WW2, Malayia, Korea, Aiden, NI, Falklands, NI, "Balkans", Iraq x2, Afganistan. You can still get a cheap pint there though.

A divorced, depressed electrician about to jump off a bridge... been there man. Not the divorced or depressed jumping off a bridge part, but being a spark brings back bad memories. Love the girl in red!

The family are going. I'm snookered at the moment with an old dog but should fate play her card I may well join them.

Like I said, I'm proud! Back to the topic...

I was at the estate where I grew up yesterday. There's still a good vets there with some great young lasses who love dogs and more importantly aren't afraid of them. Something which is important when dealing with a tired curmudgeonly old terrier and is becoming increasingly difficult to find these day. Loved this remembrance display! An estate then and now that would no doubt fall into the deprived category. When I lived there everyone was skint but many good families and lack of money did not mean poor quality of life or upbringing. Probably still deprived but still predominantly B

From last year. He is also carrying on the family tradition of Irish dancing. I flatly refused to do it but my sisters and cousins did it. Sorry for going off topic but I'm very proud of my family and how the young kids are being brought up

My great nephew. His mam is very creative and produces most of his costumes for various events from scratch with a few raw materials costing a couple of £'s or re-purposing existing old clothes. That's how young families should do things IMO. And yes, he is Newcastle supporter, I got in early with this one after losing his older brother to Liverpool!

Jack Russell breeding 1970 & back..

In response to the pm, Bosun11 flatters and overestimates my knowledge. It is extremely limited to the breeding of Russells that I have owned, primarily blood from the north of England. I do have a few written pedigrees and whereas quality working blood was at times shared by those in the know, and I was never one of those people, none of the names that are mentioned appear in the pedigrees that I have. I read and collect the "dreaded" books, which is no substitute for 1st hand knowledge of course, but again cannot recollect those names or dogs appearing in anything that I have read other -
I get that. Have always found women who covet "diamonds" more interesting than those who are into fitted kitchens. And you pay the price. But not right to target children with that crap... ... however, diamonds hold their value, fitted kitchens need to be updated every few years.

Not a pet hate as such but just something that I seen on TV and thought was disgraceful. An ad for a jewellery retailer. A young kid buying jewellery for their mam, the message being put in kids heads, and possibly feeble minded women, if you love your mam then show it through buying her jewellery. Shocking!
