  1. Beast of a rifle. Fab shooting kidder.
  2. I called AA just a while ago now about a lefty hand job, maybe they could sell me a action and Ill source my own stock. Plain. "No sorry, we dont do that". Is there any chance of it? "No sorry". It wank. They're missing a trick and it makes no sense. Surely someone at AA is left handed?!?! 97. Sod um. Better rifle anyway Im not a big bloke Mac... Hense my prefs to the HC. Again. This discussion is about 3-4 top top rifles that will out shoot the shooter any day, and the choice is often settled by how they work with the shoulder and so on. There all the same rifle anyway. Best
  3. Alll'wight. The Pro Sport is a rifle I wish I could have, so its perhaps more anger at being a lefty that makes me say stay away. But its flammin gorgeous aint it. For me, and no doubt other may disagree, the HC is the better rifle. Lets be honest, they both punch one hole groups out of the box, fine. Thats that said. But the extra length, in this case, isn't ideal mate. Im more of a carbine fan anyway. The HC just looks a better, compact sporter. The 98 cost me 5 hours of my time, and 84 quid for the kit. Absolutely well worth every penny. I stripped it, polished, and re assembled an
  4. Ha. The mrs is kind indeed. My two pence would be get the 98 tuned and you won't need the AA's mate. Honest. I've got a 97kt and 98 both with v-Mach installed and to be honest, I've not owned an AA springer, had an old S400 serial 069, wish I'd never sold it but having spent a day or so with a pro sport, I wouldn't say it's any better, and it would be said the same with a HC. It's so smooth @ new that you perhaps save cash in the long run, but my god a well tuned HW is just as good if not better. I think. And a HW opens up more options custom wise... At the end of the day, the 98 will
  5. Super rifles. I'd love one, but the mrs would cut my knackers off tbh the amount I spend on this damn hobby. Some probably aren't big DS fans, but they are top... if rather expensive. And this is no doubt the issue... The HW's, BSA's even the high end springers are just as accurate, and half the price.
  6. Get yourself an AIM cheek piece kit man. Got one my SE and it just lifts it enough, it does of course, need something underneath it but it works for me. With it being on my field rifle too, I carry bags, pellets, knife etc in the pouch too. 24 quid I think it was. Aimfieldsports.com
  7. Thanks fellas. Another SAK then. SAK....
  8. Whats the general opinions on the best stubby moderators? Im looking for one with 1/2 UNF thread too... Have a SAK at the moment but wouldn't mind having a gander elsewhere. Many thanks in advance.
  9. On another note, same theme though, why not try a little stubby?
  10. That's um mate, proper flat heads. I'll give um a go and see how it works out.
  11. What?! Your swapping what most of the threads are about... May I ask why? Just not right I'm guessing.
  12. Any members use these? Found a tin in my box and can't remember what I used them for... Might throw um out the lightning in 22. I'm hoping there like match pellets with plenty of whack.
  13. Reckon you've been pushing a pencil through that target 3 times... Jokes man. It's bang on.
  14. I hope you miss them all git. My flaming cars off the road, going nowhere.
  15. To be fair to daystate, it might be a bad bunch. It might be that everyone thinks they're rubbish because everyone this they're rubbish... If that makes sense. Again, shoulder, shoot one. It's might be fine. There are plenty of forum members with fine rifles made by daystate. I'd defiantly consider a MK4
  16. Hi man. I can but I don't know how to adjust anything. Never messed with my own SE, wouldn't dare, so bloody complex. As you have mentioned, a gunsmith is the only way, unfortunately at cost, but this knowledge and expertise is what the money is for. I only know that that is the screw as I was told.
  17. Skot has answered this question as well as poss IMO.
  18. The anti tamper screw on an SE, my scorpion anyway, is the screw behind the mounts on the rail... The one that looks like it doesn't do anything, right at the back of the rail, end of action.
  19. Permissions are, from my own experience, about who you know rather than what, or how. I had no permissions here in Lincolnshire about 5 months ago, but called every 'high up' person I know and now I have 4. Do you know anyone or might know someone?
  20. I read in a well known air gun magazine just recently that they tested this 'loaded' time. One of the editors, either doe or Allen, left a spring rifle cocked for 1 month or more maybe, and the rifle still had the same output power wise as it did before the test was conducted. With my 98, in the field, I sometimes insert a pellet while the breech is open, not cocked, and when approaching an area that might yield some thing I quickly cock the rifle. It saves me fumblin' around before hand.
  21. Can't be more than 2-3 quid if you had to pay anyway. Air... Now that's getting expensive. The gunshop down the road charges a damn fiver to fill my se. Hft club, 50p.
  22. To add to my post before. Had the SAK on... Firstly, it makes the length rather long. Secondly, it does actually make a difference to the sound, what is more of a 'thock' sound turns into a 'clunck' sound. All you hear, naturally, is the wap of the piston within the tube. Real mechanical. Nice actually. Reminds me of the MP5 from call of duty for all those who know... The moderated one
