  1. @bigmac 97kt I just checked the AA site to mainly check out the Pro Sport, seems a nice rifle and how would you say it differs compared to the TX and the 97KT for practicality hunting? I also noticed the TX200 is now a MK3, pretty sure the MK2 was the last model back when': how is the MK3 any better? Thanking you for all the help, hopefully out this weekend coming for a good plinking down the range and see how things perform. ?
  2. Hey all, Unfortunately I've been out of the game for a while whilst focussing on health and family. I've finally got the time back now to really get back out there again and get behind my air rifle for some plinking sessions before I get back into permissions. A few questions really, I've had my BSA XL Tact's (.22 & .25) out of service for a while and wondered if there's anything I should consider checking out before taking them out? I'm pretty sure they've not been cocked whilst out of use but new internals? Nikko Sterling Scopes- anything to consider with the
  3. I'll have to check with the currier but I think it will be possible. Could possibly meet you half way perhaps.
  4. Hi matey, I would but I'm currently at work and on lates. For both posts, I'll try and post pictures later if I can. They're both practically unused anyway, no markings or wear and tear. Thank you for the heads up though

  7. PS: I'm not painting you with the same brush as anyone who has tossed animals away or mistreated them but i'm just stating the facts that i know of.... it's nothing personal
  8. i don't think its a case of dumping them anywhere, even if there are species there already (no doubt illegally) or its been known to do it in the past. I don't want to get all PC or condescending but having owned terrapins before (2 yellowbelly and 1 musk) these are animals that are from hotter climates and need a lot of heat and light to bask, for nutrition and digestive purposes. So, our ponds are too cold and our weather is not best suited, even on our hottest days. I'd advise looking to re-home them on Gumtree, Preloved and as suggested, reptile and aquatic pet sites. MORE than anyth
  9. I have considered tuning it up but then I've always thought that all springs will wear over time, no matter if it's cheap or expensive. However, I never considered that Gas Rams could leak, whether I've missed articles on it or it's rather unheard of. I think I'll give Mattybugeye a shout when I've got my funds together or try and head to SFS and see what they can suggest and do for me. Thanks for the help pal, really appreciate a new perspective too.
  10. I had a good feeling that this would be the case, more so, if it wasn't going to fire pellets into FAC specs, it would be firing pellets like a BB gun, bouncing off targets Much appreciated for your comment anyway
  11. Hello, Just after some advice on converting my .25 Cal spring rifle into a GAS RAM. I've looked around the net and there's no definitive answer on how to do it for a .25, as much as there's pages upon pages for .177 and .22: I don't honestly know how the rules apply for any other calibre. My main concern is, I've only see that Theoben make parts to fit a .177 and .22 and although they *may* fit the .25 (I'm no gunsmith, so don't quote me!) but would they affect the FPE for more greater than 12FPE or less than what I'm getting now? Affect the accuracy? Any thing else to consider? If
  12. Would you say a .20 is a "good all rounder", fitting right in between both calibers or is a .20 a calibre of its own right and to be reconsidered?
  13. I guess if budget is something to go by and perhaps purchasing brand new, i think BSA is a modest company for springers. However, theres plenty of used rifles out there (check classifieds) and theres certainly a lot of "bang for your buck" (pun not intended)
