The mother in law has let me use her DVD player for a bit. That was good. Still got a lot more to watch, I think. Woodga was collecting rabbits, then the wife came in and I had to turn it off. Can't wait to be in work and watching the rest of it!!!

I think he may be mistaking the 'wanted' section for the "things I wish I had" section. Speaking of which, I wish I had a rocket ship. Not a space ship. A normal ship, like a super yacht, but with a rocket on it! That'd be much better than his stupid luxury yacht. I was going to say a Wally118, but that's in my "I would love to own, but can't be hassled with a yacht" list. Oh, and a pet dinosaur! Yeah, maybe 2. Good dinosaurs, not like giant spiders. Like tyrannosaurus, or a couple of velociraptors...tame ones of course. Oh, and an alien egg. I'm pretty sure they come from eggs. M

I half agree about the hassle. Just buy in bulk; works for me. Thank goodness for Amazon. Personally, I have tried a few other rifles, but nothing fits quite as well as the Ratty. For me, low power is important when around expensive machinery.

That's properly cool. I hope it's all real and can be backed up by documented evidence.

Co2, Anyone Else, Or Is It Just Me?
RemyBolt replied to RemyBolt's topic in General Airgun Discussion
7-9lb's....that's what I go at rats with indoors. The ricochet factor is less, and the damage to machinery is much lower if your shot doesn't go to plan. -
Well here's a comment that'll upset a load of people. Crosman RatCatcher. I do about 90% of my ratting with the Crosman 2250. If I'm outside I'll go with a springer, otherwise it'd be 100% of my ratting with the Crosman. There are 2 problems with the Crosman though. 1. it's CO2. A lot of people hate CO2...but I love it. 2. VERY mixed reviews. I've had ZERO issues with my Crosman in the 6 years I've had it. Other people I know have had loads problems with theirs. Maybe I'm just lucky? Price is around £120-£130, but upgrade the scope! I have a spare 4x floating around if you want it (a

A Fenns And Snares Out Plus A Bonus
RemyBolt replied to MR TEA POT's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Nice bag. Good to see everything in action. I forgot to take my snares to the farm on Friday night however, I'm back down a different site tonight and the farmer has okayed the snares for ratting. So I should be popping a small review like this soon, but all about rats. -
It arrived today mate. Well impressed with speed of postage. Only problem, I'd rather it arrived on Monday, because now I'm holding this DVD that will answer so many questions I have, but I can't use it. REALLY frustrating. It's like holding a chocolate bar you're not allowed to eat. To be fair, I'm much more impressed with the shipping and the extra literature provided in the package. Thanks Woodga.

To be fair, there's a world of difference in street skill and top level professional. Think about Kimbo Slice going into the UFC. He got owned by a runt because he didn't expect the guy to rush him and go all out ASAP. A street thug, albeit a skilled one, is nowhere near the same league as a man whose trained for years, day after day, with the worlds greatest coaches, using the highest level research to perfect fight strategy, cutting edge technology to check technique, and on a strict diet to enhance performance. One of the major differences, the gloves. I remember an interview wi

This was such a weird ratting session. It's 2am (when I started typing this) and I can honestly say that a lot of things simply did not add up. I started off at 11pm, arriving at the chicken farm (my usual ratting site) and the farmer had asked me to clear out Houses 1 and 2. HYPED! Last time in house 1 I got 15 confirmed kills, and only 9 in house 2. But this time I was setting snares before I left. So, armed with enough batteries to light a small town. Enough CO2 to put out a forest fire, and enough pellets to take down a bull elephant, I set off to have some fun. As I said, got

Nice bunnies. When I started reading the write-up I was concerned. The more into it I read the more I thought....ah no, matey is having a harsh session. Good choice to check that field. Glad it turned out okay. Any idea what was up with the torches?

I love to go ratting with my little RatCatcher. Such a fun little gun to shoot. But it occurred to me, I'm using CO2. As far as I can tell, nobody else is using CO2 air rifles. Is that accurate, or are there closet CO2 shooters on here?

Getting Your Shots Accurate?
RemyBolt replied to Chris Harrison's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I disagree with Timmy...but only the tiniest bit. Although you can eat a mixi rabbit, you wouldn't want to. When they have mixi they stop eating and start going very skinny. Unless you shoot a mixi rabbit very early on, you'll be eating a bag of bones with no real meat. So, although you technically can eat a mixi rabbit (mixi does not effect people), you wouldn't want to. It's not a case of braving it, it's just a case of 'there is better meat available than a scraggly meatless rabbit'. As for the 10p piece...spot on. Pellet between the eye and base of the ear. -
It's scary to think, this is the 'modern' world in which we live.
-
As has been said, check the General License and BASC Code of practice. More important than what's the biggest animal you can shoot, ask what animal are you skilled enough to shoot? If you are unable to get a clean shot on a rabbit, then you should not shoot a rabbit. If you were a skilled shot, you could happily take out rabbits. For anything bigger, you'd need to get a FAC. Many counties have different calibres for different animals. Where I live it's illegal to shoot a rabbit with a .223, and it's illegal to shoot a .22lr at a fox. Check with your local fire arms officer. I hassl

i can remember some time ago watching a documentary about sharks. they showed some jaw bones of great whites hung on a fishing port wall as trophies that the fishermen had caught and that was on malta Yeah mate. I changed my main place to Dominican Republic for scuba diving. There is less publicity of attacks down there, so that makes me feel safe. Ignorance really is bliss.
-
Shroom, one thing I know about the med, Great White's migrate every year just North of Malta. Had planned a scuba diving trip, but was told the school had transferred to the south of the island for this exact reason.

According to ebay....probably not. Animal parts, pelt, or skin Many native animal species are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 in the UK and the Wildlife Acts 1976-2000 in Ireland. Some rare native and many non-native species are protected under the EU Wildlife Trade Regulations. Restricted No animal or part of an animal of a species listed inSchedule 5 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act, or the Schedules to the Wildlife Acts 1976-2000, may be listed on eBay unless the seller can produce documentary evidence confirming that they have not been taken from the wil

Not a clue, sorry mate.

There are a few taxidermy places that'll take carcases off your hands.

Just organising the shooting for tonight. Going to be concentrating on a single spot where the rats are going up into the roof. Might just be low numbers today. Thankfully the moon phase is nice and dark, so I might be able to set up a chair and shoot through open doors.

Getting Your Shots Accurate?
RemyBolt replied to Chris Harrison's topic in General Airgun Discussion
If you think about it, with 2 shots, if you pull one, and the other is perfect, how do you know which is which if you're new to springers? So hitting out 5 shots without any changes will be the best way to show grouping. Some people say 3, but I'm overly cautious. Also, go and buy around 5'000 pellets. That'll be your warm-up. Some of the guys on here are easily punching paper with 5 figure's worth of pellets (10'000+). A military friend used to tell me to take a shot, then totally reset. He'd leave the gun in position, then start the process all over again, lay down body pointing at t -
You reckon? How many high value terrorists have we captured in a war zone and treated like that? He'll either be vaporised by an air strike or turned into a human colander by SFs. LOL I read recently of a Gurkha just been let off for beheading a Taliban high value target after killing him as proof of identity! We Brit's don't take prisoners and lock them up in a Guantanamo Bay style centre. We just call in an air-strike then try to identify them afterwards. News today: Three smears in a burning building were identified as Al Quieda insurgents. The phosphorus bomb that vapourised
