  1. The farm I shoot at has been finding rats eating a load of bait and not that many dying from it. So I'm upping my ratting to include a little trap work, which should be fun to learn.
  2. What had the cow said to him? Haha The story goes that he figured he could knock out a cow with 1 punch, then threatened a riot unless they got him a cow to punch. A one man riot doesn't sound much, but his last one man riot cost the prison system £250'000+. The guy as a human specimen is impressive, but at a human-being....not someone worth emulating, in my opinion.
  3. That's institutionalisation for you. Can't cope outside of prison.
  4. He is actually married to a really pretty Muslim lady. I'm not sure if they're still married though.
  5. If you've read any of his books you'll be VERY familiar with his favourite word "Institutionalisation". He says himself he wouldn't know how to live outside the prison system. The most significant thing that he wrote was in reference to if he ever got out. He basically said he'd open a gym where it was a series of small rooms (prison cell) and people would train there. The part that stands out the most, he said he would just live in a cell in his own gym. I do feel sorry for him, but at the same time, he is his own worse enemy. He always says he would love to feel grass or sand on his
  6. Thanks for the information. I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere, but being 100% new to snares, I tried to make it clear I didn't have any experience. When I say new to snaring, only today did I decide I wanted to start to learn about snares. The thing about the hare is from A Poacher's Handbook, I think. I remember not understanding the concept much, so spent too much time trying to work it out.
  7. I would say the farmer's little lad that I sold my Ultra to, but the farmer's pretty rich. Awesome gesture. If you can't find anyone, drop me a PM.
  8. My Ultra. I sold it because I wanted to focus on skill with a springer, and I didn't get the same 'feel' from the Ultra. When out shooting with the springer, I'll take a shot and when I miss, I can't help but to think "I would have tagged that with the Ultra." But I keep reminding myself why I sold it, to better develop my fieldcraft and shooting skills. I'm glad it's been sold, but just now and again wish I still had it for certain shots.
  9. Just a quick question, what's going on with the snare section? Is it locked down for a reason?
  10. I can't remember where I heard it, I think it was from a book, but apparently if you're looking to snare hare, you are better attaching the snare to a loose brick or roof tile. The hare should be found dead about a meter or 2 from where the tile was situated. Something about the sudden jerk breaking the snare and injuring the animal, but not killing it, while the ability for the snare to 'drag' a short distance allows a clean kill. I'm just getting into snaring myself, so I can't say I have first hand experience in this though.
  11. I could always say it was in self defense.
  12. Doc gave me antibiotics. Said I should have popped in ages ago. OOPS. Going out tonight armed with a load of Lockets! They'll smell me coming from the menthol smell, but while they're trying to work out what that smell is.....POP! VERY tempted to try setting some small snares to bag rats, but don't have anything for snare wire...plus I don't know the legality of snares. Edit: I should probably add I'll be armed with a gun as well, obviously. The Lockets are just an added extra. Please don't assume I'll be running around a chicken scratch area throwing Lockets at rats. It didn't
  13. Hello Everyone Really fun and weird question here. If out ratting, and a rat runs straight at you, can you legally stamp on its head to kill it?
  14. Poker.....obviously this is dependent on you being a good poker player.

Yom can mean a 12-hour day, 24-hour day, period of light, etc. But if science shows something to be right, that's just how it is. One of the reasons for the timescale issue in basic creation is carbon dating, OSL dating and pollen dating. If items older than 6000 years are documented, then we have an issue. A major issue with the theory/opinion. What is the creationist view of dinosaurs? Were they in the Bible (if a Christian is reading this and says NO, check Job. Not definite, but hints to be). As for the life of Jesus, more documented evidence he existed than Julius Cesaer. So that

Elohim is like fish or sheep, singular and plural at the same time. It's really not something I've gotten too bogged down in. For the simple reason, singular or plural applies to God as I believe. I have already referenced the tri-union, Father-Son-Holy Spirit, representations of Body, Spirit, Soul. So I think Elohim is a more than apt term. But again, that's my interpretation of it.
  17. Yes and no. You're right all life forms have the same basic DNA building blocks, however the conclusion to your sentence is based on a fallacy of logic. If A then B. Let's use the same principle but from another fallacy of logic. It would seem logical, but let's apply the same logic from an 'intelligent design' theory. It would be as follows. If we were made as we currently are and did not evolve, we would be made similar to current life forms, so that we can rebuild our cells from the DNA/proteins/amino-acids/etc that we consume. Therefore, if we were designed by a higher power, we would
  18. And that's one of the issues Creationists have. I believe in evolution for all species, except human. Genetically we are one 100'000th of 1% different from that 'original person' that they excavated a while back.

Someone asked me about Dinosaurs, I can't remember who, but neither can I find their post. To answer the view that dinosaurs are millions of years old...they are. Simple. It has been proven. The world is not 6000 years old like most creationists believe. Yom - 'day' is the word used in Hebrew in the original scripture. Amazingly Yom is also the word for "An undefined period of time" or "Age" as in, Age of the Dinosaurs. So the idea of the 6 day creation is...embarrassing and scientifically impossible. This would lead to the assumption that somewhere, somehow, these skeletons were c

There's a sinister plot behind religion, no need to dig very deep lol. Don't be to hard on Remybolt mate, evolving the bible in the face of science (not that i trust mainstream scientists) is the only way religion will survive, its like modern religion looking back at the Spanish inquisition, keep moving with the times and you'll keep the undecided interested eh lol. My evolution of the Bible seems to simply be an interpretation. Oddly, an interpretation that works with science. At no point have I told anyone that they should become a Christian, I have not spoken about my opinion of

The purest ironiy is that Newton was actually involved in Witch Craft, which is why he wrote so much on the Bible. Weird hu?

That’s a really good question mate, and one I’ve spend a lot of time musing on. From what I can see; by changing our environment to suit our needs, rather than waiting for the environment to change then trying to adapt to it, we’ve taken ourselves – and a lot of species we find useful, wheat, chickens, etc – out of the evolutionary process. Could we become extinct? Sure; if we’re hit by a comet, or have a nuclear war or something. But will a more successful species evolve and out-compete us? I can’t see how that could happen. You would logically assume people who are born super-he

I don't think it's genetically changing though, so one thing into another would be better phrased "One species into another."

Please look into the original scripture. The Bible was not originally written in English in the King James Olde World style. It was originally written in ancient Hebrew. As beautifully clear as it may seem, if the translation is wrong, then so is the interpretation.
