IThe majority of people shouldn't own dogs, I can relate to absolutely everything said here and heard worse. Thing is it seems contagious and getting worse I absolutely hate the nice weather as there out in hoards. I refused a woman a pup a couple of weeks back when she stood in my kitchen a nd told me that they weren't dogs, they were hairy humans.

A couple of quick questions Tracy, more I suppose to do with your vet, why were you feeding the pups?. Why can't your bitch have pups in the future?. Why couldn't he feel any movement in a lurcher type dog carrying nine pups?.Thanks.

I read this alot about these top lurchers being better than 99% of the gundogs you have seen, it makes me wonder just how much 'proper' working gundogs you have actually seen and what kind of level you have seen.? Have you still got this gundog whipper or are you training up another 1? Makes me wonder mate to think after selectively breeding my line of cockers for over 20 years I could have just bought in a selection of random mongrels that would perform better than my kenneled stock :whistling: Who mentioned random mongrels (bit of shooting snobbery coming out there) I'm tal

I used my lurchers for gun work, I wanted them to have as many strings to their bows as possible and prided myself in the fact they were allrounders. Of the lurchers I owned all but one were decent and didn't embarress me and in fact were superior to a lot of gundogs I seen. The other one was a first cross collie/greyhound and was better than 99% of the gundogs I met and have never seen her equal for nose and finding game. Smart looking mate, I reckon it would last a fortnight with a dog that chews though. You can't beat galvanised panels I've a six block setup here going on seven years old and still like new. You'll be replacing/repairing wood forever, buy metal buy them once, job done.

Your average lurcherman doesn't keep them long enough to train them later. Or thinking about it, train them at all.

Apologies folks (should have measured first) make that each run 7ft by 3ft, total area 7ft by 6ft by 6ft high and pick up from just outside Wishaw.

Got a double run here for sale, galvanised, each run 9ft by 3ft, obviously whole set up is then 9ft by 6ft. Mesh door panels with two sides and divider solid 3/4 way up and top 1/4 mesh, dogs can't see each other and reduces noise and draughts. £250.00 no offers and buyer collects.

Ok I'll indulge you, it's the summer silly season Do you actually think you could choke a bull dog off another dog?. If you can then the dog isn;t worthy of the title bulldog or you've got arms like popeye. Done it with a staffy that attached itself to my bitches face wrapped the rope lead round the very top of its neck and swung for dear life took a while but it did eventually let go. So your swinging a bulldog about thats got your bitch by the face therefore swinging both of them about causing god knows how much damage to your dog and a combined weight of what?. Do you

Change the record Dell, we've had Christ knows how many years of labour policies, reforms and ideas and the situation actually worsened under their governing. The gap between rich and poor was never as wide as under labour, not just financially but socially as well.

The only deerhound blooded dogs I've personally seen worth talking about were lurchers with deerhound along with other breeds in their make up. My brother owned two full deerhounds, nice dogs but couldn't run a message, first crosses apart from some of the lighter bitches weren't much better, Seen a few three quarters which were not bad but nothing startling which, when bred to other lurcher types threw some not bad dogs.

if it was in ireland id have a go at handling it, im always up for a challenge, if anyone has a mental dog like this im after something to train as a personal protection dog for my own use You're a nugget.
