with the breeding of these pups , they should do very well no prob. But from what was said i think regards the age think, these is some sence in what was said. Because some dogs do really well when young say 2-3 seasons, then some can just not shine as good the next seasons. Not saying it will be the case here , but it can+does happen, thats why a older sire or dam can be better either with good feet after 5-6 years, or still a full on temp,as some dogs can not give 100% as they get older.!! with the breeding of these pups , they should do very well no prob. Mackay..i own the Don dog and i don't give a hoot what ANYONE thinks about how/why and what i do with him? He is MINE..he runs for me and my lads..there hasn't been ANY pups put up for sale on here out of him, they are ALL in working homes...so exactly what is the problem that boils YOUR piss? Like i said on another thread...it's all about opinions and as that saying goes"opinions are like arseholes in that we all have one"...ATB Andy. Read the post, not directed at you, your dog, your choice when and what to put him to. I prefer that to some clown asking when should I breed my dog or w

i dont get it either surely if a very collie blooded lurcher is put to a full border collie then the pups would be about 3/4 border collie? Toby I don't get it mate you're a coursing man so I assume its ok for some of these lads who win a match in September with there dogs at 18 months or so, then come November they're charging anything from £500-£1000. Apparentley the young dog that was runner-up to Fly in the recent Forley final is already up for stud for a decent cash infusion. Don's a youngish dog BUT is being tested and tested well, he's also a dog that has a do or die attitude,

Does any one breed fit Bull Mastiffs in the UK?
mackay replied to northern boy's topic in General Talk
I've one of Plummers original Alaunts here from the first ever litter, just turned ten ( I think without checking), her makeup is 50% bullmastiff the other half bull terrier and greyhound. I bred her twice with a mastiff dog making the pups 3/4 mastiff and the diffrerence to a full mastiff was unbelievable, their faces tightened up, some had a correct bite though most were level only a couple were undershot. They could jump and were a damn sight more biddable. They seem to be longer lived although time will tell. I personally think the faults in any breed caused by dodgy breed standards could -
The best way to spend a day is walking the hill with your dogs. Romany did you ever run into the old dear Anastacia Noble of Ardkinglass fame.

My old dog was still taking decent bags of rabbits on the lamp at 11 years, he caught his last hare at 12, he was running with his daughter and she turned it into him, but he was there running alongside giving it his all. PTS at just over 16 and if I'm honest I didn't think he would see 16mths with his die hard attitude. I also had a bitch hit by a lorry and killed at just over nine and wasn't showing any signs of retiring any time in the immediate future.

Been better if it had been coloured in.

There's people working don't get 26k, if you can't get by on that amount your doing something wrong. Also poverty isn't what it used to be, now if people can't have the latest state of the art gadget or a holiday abroad they think they're poor.

Scotland is one inhospitable place in winter, to be honest Rannoch moor is inhospitable in summer, I agree there must have been health/mental issues. RIP.

Sounds a bit like Rabbie Burns on drugs.

It was posted a while back on here, what their powers and your rights were from start to finish in fine detail. I actually thought it was pinned somewhere, if not, it might be a good idea to do so.

Yes they need a warrant, but the whole idea is to catch you off guard and find any (if any) incriminating evidence. Hardly in their interests to let you know there coming.

LABRADOR GREYHOUND ANYONE HAVE THIS CROSS
mackay replied to 2.8 guy's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I'm actually quite surprised gundog crosses aren't far more popular than they are. -
Done both, and I agree the gym is the better option for serious training, it's too easy to cop out with a multigym whereas something as simple as arranging a session with a training partner and not wanting to let them down can be all the motivation needed to get you to the gym and once there you thoroughly enjoy it.. That said, if you don't have a lot of time, you're not a diehard trainer and you want to tone up at your leisure then a multi gym might suit, although they don't work for most and didn't for me, it's a glorified coat stand in the garage and the only time I pay it any heed is when

I have a thing for them, and to be honest, if folks have never owned em, should think twice before posting negative comments, as i say ive run em for years, yes ive had some heart rending moments with em, but as i say, i can only speak for mine, they work their goolies off all weathers, ive had em wrapped around trees, barbed wire, the amount of injuries can be counted on one hand, all treated by myself, from the right stock, and in the right hands, cant fault em, and will tackle anything any lurcher would, what a shame cos of the ban , i cannot show you, just how my whippets work, do folks th

No one is disputing that mate, carry on doing what suits you.

Whin you do talk some shite. . .. Edited ti add a LOT off shite.. But keeps it civil unlike yourself . You have got a serious attitude problem mate.
-
Good.. now keep it buttoned unless you have something constructive to say. You keep talking shite and wont listen to any explanation's even though this form of hunting has been explained many time's by many folk...just keep quiet hey you are starting to bore me with your ignorant post's.. Predictable or what, you two a double act. I'll voice my opinion when and as often as I want It's an open forum.. You think it's shite, seems to me there's as many people thinking my views are correct as think the same of yours. What I have done so far is keep it civil. As for your remarks no more

I'm not a gambling man but, if I had to make a choice I would always bet the hare.
-
Mate, not thinking that running dogs mob handed at whatever quarry is the ideal hunting method doesn't make you an anti. You say nothings better than going out with a pack of dogs, fair enough that's your perogative, me and I would think many others would think that's not the case and there's nothing better than going out alone or perhaps another person and working your own dog, watching it do the task it was born and trained to do. Call me old fashioned, but I've always tried to go about my business with the minimum of exposure, and as low key as possible even pursuing legal quarry on legal

Do you think England might get their hunting back if Scotland becomes independant, Blair had massive labour support in Scotland at the time of the ban which he called upon to vote for a ban in England ( the ban was already in place in Scotland) downright sneaky using Scottish mp's to shore up his voting when in fact it didn't affect them and English mp's couldn't vote on any Scottish matter. Without the input of Scottish labour it would be a whole different ball game.

Of course single dogs would have faired better, and more rabbits would have been caught. I cannot understand, why YOU cannot understand, that was not what the day was about...how many times, in how many ways do i have to explain Don't equate not agreeing with not understanding, I understand it was a social occasion rather than a serious hunting trip ( or rather hoped it was the case) but my views are my opinion, that it's shoddy. Now if you only want nice remarks from your friends why not say so at the beginning of your posts, otherwise expect positive and negative responses. You and
