You know nothing about bows. They are not designed to kill with shock energy. Arrows can be used to take much bigger game than a thin skinned lion, eg eland, cape buffalo etc. Many of the lion bowkills I have seen on video have complete pass throughs, the heart and lungs being perforated. You cannot compare bullets and broadheads, they are two different animals. Upon a shot from a bow it is expected for the animal to run for 15-20 seconds until the blood stops the heart/lungs working and the animal falls over in a faint through loss of blood/oxygen to the brain. Anyone who has ever hunted has wounded something Joe, but most of us don't use inappropriate weapons. Using a crossbow is akin to using a sub 12 on a fox, cruelty, nothing else. It was wearing a collar for a reason, it was a pride male in the prime of life, no reason to cull it, no excuses. It was lured away from a safe area so a rich bloke could try and kill it in a barbaric method just to have a trophy to hang on the wall. To me and a lot of others that is sick and twisted. sadly everything in this world only survives if it has an economic value, money shapes the world we live in from the city to the African planes, without the protection afforded to the animals funded by hunting then most would be poached to extinction, take the white rhino, in one area the was only 100 left, then that area became a game reserve employing the same poachers as wardens and all paid for by the profit from hunters, that area now has over 1100 white rhino`s, not a perfect solution but one that works, sentiment is fine as long as your not paying for it

they normally piss everywhere, bang into things and can become snappy when they experience a full blown fit, the smell is something you will not forget, in my own experience with fits they usually get more frequent and more severe, the vets can try to control it with tablets (steroids and that) and they will give you a large tablet to shove up its rear end to bring it out of a fit, its not cheap around £400 a month and you really do have to think about whether its in the best interest of the dog or not. it may grow out of it. or it may have been stressed from the kennels but the one i know of
