Mine aint. Mine are all square mesh made by myself. if you make them this way you dont need a top line it naturaly has one then if you use heavy line on the bottom it doesnt have to be pegged. make one try it then comment.
i use 2 3/8 inch mesh. a net should entangle as well as purse. with this size mesh 15 meshes wide by 18 meshes deep gives you a thee and a half foot net. just out off interest long nets are not made using the diaganal method you make purse nets with they are made with the square mesh method that way they have a natural top and bottom line and hang properly when set.
check out knotsindeed.com/learn/squaremesh it with give you some ideas
i have used horndy and remmington to be honest couldnt tell the difference both grouped the same both performed well on rabbit and the odd fox. i seem to remember reading somewhere that all 17 rounds are loaded by cci using a necked down 22magnum cart. and then just modified for each customer ie the polymer tip of horndy is red remmington is brown ect.
I cant be buyer and seller, you must have a price in your head, tell me that price and i will tell you if i want it or not, i cant be fairer then that!
fetching £90 at coch-y-bonddu books but with the dust cover. i will take £70
no problem feeding them at all. why wouldnt you feed the head? good protein in the brain and keeps the talons and beak in good condition getting in there plus keeps them busy for hours.
i use both depends upon whot you are going to be doing most off. the .17hmr is very flat 2500fps good out to 150yrds very accurate can take a head shot nearly every time. but it has draw backs noise, wind drift and the cost of rounds. .22 brill with subsonics for lamping and the rounds are very cheap but prone to ricochet.
Theres a trap manufacturer at long marston airfield oposite stratford cattle market who sells mk4 fens for £4.99 the company name is john underwood. all his other traps are cheap as well. rabbit drop traps £60 for 4, fox traps £79, larsen springs 60p scissor mole traps £2.60 try.
spot on from any pet shop does the trick clears them all within 2 hours. make sure you only use the one for cats. lasts about four to six weeks as well.
for a rimmy you only need 35 footpath clear acres 15 for a fac air rifle. go for a .17hmr lot flatter shooting ok out and past 150yrds. rounds are a bit expensive though about £10 per 50.
i shoot and ferret used to be into training and flying hawks and falcons but have mobility problems and had to give up work and carnt afford it anymore. i still work me lurcher and terrier. I make rabbit and fox nets. thats about it.
