She has turned into a decent bitch she will just go and go all night she has some wind ..... Tiggers season is over he has burst some ligaments in his front toe so he has been operated on ....he might never run again but at least it happened this time of year so he all summer to rest and recuperate ....I will be gutted if he never works again but at least with this op he will have a bit more comfort in retirement
-
I will not tolerate a dog that fights it wont last long in my kennels ....the terrier on the left and the big brindle dog cannot be put in the back together just in case ....if you give them enough work it keeps there minds occupied
-
Pup about 5 months now training is going well he will be about the 23" mark but has stopped growing a bit as he is cutting his big teeth ...there still a bit growth to come
-
I have used the harkilla roe sack for many years a very good piece of kit ...very well designed ...and as someone has already said harkilla will replace anything that is faulty

Not much geese at the moment as after dec they start to spread I honestly couldn't tell you how much is on maybe 10-15000...you really need to work hard at this time of year as they know the craic and mostly roost on the NE side which is the reserve although they can still be had in the right conditions ...I was out on fri night ...huge tide and big winds ...lots of widgeon had 4 and a mallard .....let me know when you are here and I will point you in the right direction if im still at home as you cant beat local knowledge no matter where you shoot

there are various ways of testing your dog and holding a dog back or slipping it at quarry at very long slips and I mean slips where you can just make out the quarry at the end of the beam ....where ive seen a dog realy have to work jumping fences ,dykes burns and often covering 2 or 3 fields and connecting out of the beam I wouldn't say you have a fast dog but a dog that has drive and determination to see the job through ....

Darcy yards is no where near a big slip I have witnessed 300 yard plus slips many many times both night and day we have a mutal friend that has also seen it ask him about a slip with my old bitch on a fox before the ban that we paced out at 330 yards from slip to where the fox stood ...imo holding a dog back until the quarry (rabbits ) have the advantage lets you know what kind of dog you have on the end of your slip .....a dog that drops stuff it has no right to even get near is a decent animal imo
-
imo if you had one of the best bitches in the country ...then you had access to decent blood and for you to think she was one of the best she must of done a lot of graft ....so with all that in mind you should be able to pick up a terrier from some where ...not come on THL when you find yourself short ... .

http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/product/9052134853c8245824742178/Bushnell+8+-+16+x+42mm+Infinity+Zoom+Rubber+Armoured+Binocular/ I had a pair of bushnells years ago and they were about that price range and very good for the price ....but struggled in low light ......there is not much difference between 100-300 pound binoculars but once you get to the 400 mark they start getting better ...its the same with scopes

You want to try some of the grouse moors up here 5 long drives a day 4-5 days a week ...leave that to the young lads I will just flank or sit in the butt and load
-
Just because a dog is hard doesn't mean it doesn't have a brain. And you have just contradicted yourself there
-
if you can keep a lot of terriers they are usefull at times ..I only have the work for 3 terriers so I only keep digging stuff ....what I would like to know BUD9 is when do you make the decision to call out your tyke ?....and has the dog ever been on some long digs and stayed I mean + 4hours ?...cause I would imagine there must be a very thin line between a call out dog and a jacker ....aslo if it was a realy big deep spot and the dog was up to its quarry in full voice it must take a lot of loud shouting to get the dog out ...the last thing you would want to be doing .
