Aye up Daz . Not sure if you are aware that I`ve been shooting over a small nursery for a few years now, controlling the rabbits ? Anyway. similar situation to you. I look for the hot spots, - great piles of rabbit tish in one spot. I just settle down close by ( 25 - 30 yds) and wait, one rabbit didn`t make all that crap and I find I normally get around six shots before they get the idea and avoid me. Good luck mate

From what I`ve seen of your R10 up to now Matt - I`d be well happy, whatever format it`s in Enjoy mate, you`re shooting very well with it.

Nice post mate and shooting as per Rez . Stop putting " my Rapid" on the ground - put my gun bag under it ! Twat x

You certainly picked a better day than I did Matt . Great start with the new rifle and a lovely bit of shooting, as per . atb Mark.

Best not mate, she`s watching me all the time now as I`ve just paid out some serious pennies on bricks & mortar, if you catch my drift. Anyway, I`ve already got the best of the two Thanks again Si -

Is that the old super meteor rather than just Meteor Jimmy ? ( cheek piece and rubber butt pad ) Did it also boast 50 ft/sec more in .22 ? Different spring - etc. Aye, the years wash the memory some ? -

Brocock Compatto Target Rifle.
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Yes mate, combined with the patented sling shot hammer system. Apparently giving outstanding shot consistency over 115 shots in .177 cal. A boff` or two should be along soon, I hope. -
I much prefer to listen to fellow shooting lads than any other source of information. I`ve seen Si`s video on long range target shooting but has anyone shot or using this rifle ? - ( just keeping my finger on the pulse, if you will)

That`s some seriously nice kit Jimmy - " enjoy mate" I see you seem to favour .177 cal these days ? " Saying nowt " " nothing at all "

Good on you Jeff ( jjm ) -
Shocking conditions - yet again, for air gunning today. I`m that fed up of waiting for a change in the weather, I still ventured out. Checked the wind from my hide and it gave me a regular 2 mill dots of right hand side required at 30 yards and then there was the bobbing up and down to try and cater for,- not a good idea to go out today at all . Very challenging and with a springer as well . This photo I took at a lased 253 yds with my camera on full magnification,- just look how flighty they are the second they saw me.

In my ratting days with a FWB Sport .22 I used RWS Hobby flat heads, they had an unbelievable strike force - right up to the legal limit and weighing just 11.9 g. I really cant remember a rat ever moving after a .22 flat headed Hobby hit home. The accuracy is great up to 30 yards only mind but when ratting that is more than enough range. Best ratting pellet I have ever shot

Pair of twats PM sent -
Well finished work for 1pm so I`ve just had a nice hour or so with two of my springers as I have my eye on a sitty tree for tomorrow. I can`t decide whether to go with the old legend, the FWB Sport 124, or the T Rex 200 mk3 .177. Just love the challenge of the spring rifle. Here`s my T Rex 200 mk3 .177 Here`s her grouping at 38 yds. Here`s my 40 year old Legend, the FWB Sport 124 .177. Her groupin

Nice shooting Matt - a great start with a new rifle . Yes the R10 MK2 is a great rifle and damn good looking to boot but when it comes down to pure hunting quality, the 100`s just ooze it. One of the main attributes of the 100`s, for me, is the faultless indexing and impossible to load twice . The number of times I`ve been out, hide shooting, shot a corvid and suddenly they are everywhere - the adrenalin is pumping away whilst you drop one, two, three, four and you don't have to worry for a split second about loading twice and jamming

Which Of These Scopes For My Hw100S?
mark williams replied to mjr88's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I love the Mamba range and find the SCB reticule ( xmas tree) very effective. I get some quality shooting with these. Good luck John . -
Keep a note of who has received a letter from you and repeat again in say 6 - 12 months time. I`ll guarantee you the land owners will like that Good luck !

Had my eye on the XL9 once. Its a £1350 pcp new - that`s the price for " hand made" quality and precision I was told. I soon found out that the pellets fall out of the fixed magazine when it is open and pointed in any other direction than muzzle down. No pressure guage on the rifle You can load twice - easily. So I went HW 100`s,- that was a smart move I`ve not heard much on the AR4 but there is some info on the AR5 once you start to look on the search engines,- looks good, going rate for a se

Mounts For My Hw100S / Advice Please
mark williams replied to mjr88's topic in General Airgun Discussion
High mounts mate, mention 30mm tube if he doesn`t ask - and go Sports Match every time,- they don't let you down, "ever". -
Aye up Renos . I spend far more time on target work/ paper in my garden range than anything else, - great chill out after work and very rare I shoot less than a tin of 500/ week. So practice, is the key, the building of the shot is paramount, recoil or not involved. A pcp will " bridge" many faults in " the building of the shot",- is that a bad thing ? Hell yes ! Any beginner should first cut his teeth on a springer (for me) .
