  1. Lovely rifles but, for me, the AA TX 200`s are way better. The TX also uses a Walther barrel but the AA trigger is far superior to the LGU. The AA rifles have a far superior build quality also. Each to their own mind but the TX accuracy is 2nd to none ( for me) amongst spring rifles. The AArms rifles hold their prices better as well. atb Mark. Er, Herm, sorry about the rabbit boys,
  2. How does your shoot feel about baiting and snaring him ? - "Bring him to you" Half rotten rabbit livers and a few snares usually catch. Good luck BC Had a tenant of 6 years pass away and left one of the flats needing a full refurbishment Rez, plus the phone is none stop for roofing jobs. I`m not complaining but there`s more to life than constantly working.
  3. Took the GSP and camera, (no rifle ) out today and took a few photos to show part of one of my permissions and what`s going on with the wild life. Rabbits are in here ! More in here ! Basically Kaiser was marking all the warrens for me and telling me where to ambush them. Here`s the Grey`s says Kaiser. So a good ambush point for the greys. A hide against that verge would give gre
  4. Blimey, 4,000 acre estate, 800 acres of woodland you`ve dropped on there Matt, that`s a shoot for life if you do your bit and get seen often. Very happy for you mate " Twat " x
  5. Those more in the know than I am,- please put up the review of the Compatto Target for the lads to see. ( vermin hunters tv, 2 hrs old ) Renos ? Your thoughts lads please ?
  6. Hope it ends well Mitch,- that would bother me as I love dogs, ( friendly ones).
  7. Feck me Matt ! You`ve told him about Mac`s leg haven`t you
  8. You got out Rez and with your best mate too That`s all that matters, so good on ya ! Sure I`ve seen these photos before of yours Not much shot !
  9. Doesn`t get better than that Jon Proper shot placement.
  10. Hope I caught this photo well enough with my average camera This buzzard was one very large bird, it`s wingspan looked as wide as I can spread my arms at a guess.
  11. Great shooting JJ Would have been better if you had used a pigeon head or Rabbit head target though Compliments mate.
  12. I hear a lot of good things being said of the HW 44. ( mini HW 110) Personally, pistol hunting is not my cup of tea but hey, why not ? The challenge sounds awesome. In the right hands I think the 44 would make a hunting pistol. Distance shooting with just 5 ft/lbs at the muzzle ? At a guess 20 yds/ 25 yds max`( head shot only ) My mates at the club say the 44 is capable of this ?
  13. Only now do you mention neighbours and your garden Phil ? Good luck anyway.
  14. They have no idea I`m about with these. No where near the expense of thermal or any night vision, - they go well with a beer and a warm fire and above all else, they are deadly to rabbits. Employ both methods Matt, if you like . Trap line of 50 usually, 5 left, checked 3 times/ day. The land owners love the " no nonsense approach" of shooting and snaring, for rabbit control.
  15. I deleted his photo he looked poor and disinterested. He hates feathers but gets on with the job. Mac and Rez get confused looking at "my" shooting photos all the time, - I never get confused when we ever see any of theirs ( a rare sight ).
  16. Best part of an hour between shots Jon/ Matt , sadly. For future sessions I should buy some lofting poles and decoys again to draw them in to land more.
  17. Yeah ! and we don't call you " Twat" ! for nothing either, TWAT !
  18. I`m used to " The Spoon" now a days Rez " He`s just jealous" x
  19. If you can shoot well enough you`ll never need a silencer. Only saying
  20. Remember these ? So, so wild you can`t get near them. Well today there was no wind, some sunshine and a certain HW 100 KT .177 used first time in a while . Full gillie suit ( English oak), natural hide and lots of patience. The field craft was good, I got within 38 yds and before they new it, it was too late.
  21. I never mess with my guns, ever . Did anyone pick up on the patch of cloth they also took from this guys leg ? Back in the day of muskets balls I remember reading that if you were shot the surgeon would get the ball out first, there was no anaesthetic ! Then they would probe the deep wound looking for the patch of cloth left behind from the musket ball pushing your patch of clothing into you, IF they didn`t get that cloth out of you, you usually died of a hideous infection to the wounded area. Just a bit of hi
  22. Just a thought - didn`t "U" - Underdog hunt with one of these Sparrows and also a co2 one - to good effect if I remember rightly ?
