"They would say" does that meet the terms ? I would say if that's ok as a reason then you can shoot them anywhere at any time whenever you feel like it as undoubtedly they will have been hammering a crop somewhere.

Use the whiting as live bait mate, get a couple of live bait rigs out, and whack a big tough bait on a big hook out there, I normally use cuttle, elastic it on. The whiting will still be a pain, but not as bad. I actually like whiting, saves many a blank, and some good size ones, we were having them over a lb last week, good eating and plentiful. Where you at ? Or you could just come out on a boat with me ! Once I get it back on the water

Not disputing any of that. Maybe that's the case in certain circumstances as you described, but most grass encountered when out isn't feed grass. I think using that as an argument in most situations would be clutching at straws a bit . I think it would take some facts to prove it, but I would say (my opinion) any farm that has fields down to grass is for a reason, grazing, so provided that grazing/grass is rented out for animals, or the farm has their own stock on the fields, then it is classed as a crop. So surely by the very terms of the GL, pigeons destroying a crop, they can be shot ove

Forgetting bird tables for a minute, if someone went to a spot that had nothing but grass fields for miles and miles, how could they justify shooting a pigeon? All of my ground at present is down to grass, but it is not just any old grass, it is a feed mix and has a high percentage of clover, unfortunatly the pigeons love it for the same reasons as the cattle and sheep, therefore if I leave the pigeons to feast, they take all the clover first and some of the best grazing has been taken from the animals it's meant for. I have seen days when there are 1000 plus pigeons on the grass

In fairness most of my pigeon shooting is done over fields of rape, or in a hide in the fields hedgerows near a favourite tree of theirs, but I would imagine you could sit under any favourite trees, even away from the rape field, shoot one, open its crop and a massively high probability of rape been in the crop. Interesting thought though walshie, I am going to start checking crops, because if they are hitting one field and shot in another, then would the licence cover it ?

We have crops growing all year round, yes even winter ! oilseed rape is a favourite for pigeons, and it's about the one crop tall enough to poke through snow, therefore gets hammered, so yes I would say general licence covers it.

It's pot luck pal, I have had stuff turn up with no import duties, then I have had stuff held back until I paid the duty, I thinks it's worked out on the value of said item, just like vat been paid.

Free Bullxgrey Dog Free To Good Home
Rabid replied to fox buster's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
I must be a soft touch compared to you lot, if an animal has worked its life for me I wouldn't just put it down. It would go into semi retirement, then full retirement, all as and when the dog showed that's what it was ready for. -
I always have a laser range finder on me, often I don't need or use it as I know most of the distances around my place, but it sure helps sometimes. I use a Leica and I really like it, I paid £75 for it secondhand and it is much better than the Hawke ones I have seen and used. The time I really struggle is at night with Nv, I am terrible at estimating ranges then, so I have bought the pulsar 870 with built in rangefinder and all I can say is wow. What a difference that has made.

Best Place To Sell Fac Pcp
Rabid replied to mikewh79000's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Yeah as I said, unsure if the guns at 15ftlb in France are classed as fac or not, if they are registered fac then a lot harder to do and possibly not worth it, I just wasn't sure that a 15ftlb gun is the same as our sub 12 here and it was just a case of dropping below 12 to sell here. -
Best Place To Sell Fac Pcp
Rabid replied to mikewh79000's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Perfectly legal to advertise them through all the usual channels, on here, gun star etc etc, just got to make people aware in the ad that they are FAC. Not sure how the French laws are, I know your allowed a higher power than the uk, but are they actually on a firearms licence, if not it may be prudent to turn them down to sub 12 for the uk market, non fac seem to be of a higher value here than FAC. -
Am thinking I may sell mine as it just doesn't get used anymore. What's your budget as mine has quite a bit done to it lately, brand new a&m cylinder, a&m silencer, and just back from a full service

Am I Wrong To Ask For Proof That A Ferret Work
Rabid replied to Ash Dav's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
ye that's me but that's not the only ferret ive asked about in the past 2 years almost all the ferrets ive had Ave been absolute rubbish I had 2 that would curl up and sleep at the entrance of the Warren 3 that only work the top and one that would sit at the entrance and pounce at you when you put your hand near her these were all sold to me as workers and I took people's words on them so in total I spent around 130 on ferrets that don't work I'd have been better off buying a bushing terrierHow many times did you take your new charges out ferreting? Sounds like they were new to the game, espec -
How good did those torches turn out to be jok ? I remember looking at them but shyed away in the end.

As above, too heavy for 30ftlb, ok at closer ranges, but those sort of distances are past the useable range for them imo. Philpot, we tried FAP in a rapid at 27ftlb and found they were as wild as a bucking bronco, couldn't get any sort of grouping, could just be the fire in question as I have found them to be one of the better pellets usually.

I actually thought he put a good case forward for how they do things, still can't change the facts they say 'conservatively' 5.5 million guns in circulation in America, hardly any surprise they have so much gun crime really.
-
Don't, just don't wish for that, we have them here and you could not begin to comprehend just how destructive they are, juvenile fish, eggs, even to the point of erosion in the banks, if you want some come and catch ours please.

Sorry mate, am making considerably more on my doorstep so I will pass.
