  1. I have a pulsar n550 with pulsar laser, bag and a few other bits for £500
  2. Can anyone help, I am looking to try as many .25 as possible in my new acquisition to see what it likes, in return I have a huuuuuuge amount of different pellets in .22, am also happy to buy any .25 to try if I don't have anything to swap.
  3. Stunning fish and some great photos, still on my "to catch" list
  4. A very good reason for that, all the good ones don't "need" to work on site to keep busy, they get a reputation and move onto their own work, or stay with a self build builder, life is a lot more laid back, much more relaxed, and the money is more often than not as good if not better without having to break a bollock, lets face it, if it was your own home you would be happier with quality at a price than something thrown up ? Hence why I have my own work and either turning work away or booking in for 2016 The best trowels I know are either retired, or should be retired but still do it for the
  5. Feck me that's god awful, the rates I quoted as paying are not even the best for this area, I know brickies ( some have even left me for this) who are on £500+ for face work and £18 a metre for 4" block (thermalite) footings always get a better rate round here. Agreed about site work, I hate it myself and try and stay off them myself, but they are a good earner for me at present so got a few lads on site, I got quite a few new builds on, several extensions at any one time, work is mental. Just goes to show how each area varies after reading rates on this thread.
  6. Its a good job you aren't looking for those prices round here mate, its shite atm. It depends if you include the joints on how many blocks to a M2, with joints (laid work) 10 blocks equal 1.035m2, so just over a meter of area for 10 laid. If you work your price out on amount of blocks rather than measuring the finished work including joints, you're doing yourself out of money, the joints add up Really ? That surprises me, the prices he has quoted we were taking over 8 years back as subbies, brickies for me are on £15 and £450 per thou face work, some jobs are a bit more if they are
  7. £15 a metre on my sites at present,
  8. That is an absolute stunner mate, I really like that, oh for a bike licence
  9. I just checked bluebell lakes, Christ some good fish in there, and only half hour from me, cat hunting I go..................
  10. The taipan is quite heavy, I have one already and it really does suit my eye, however I am not sure i need all the bells and whistles for this scope, hence looking at other options.
  11. Sounds like its gonna put you out of action for a while mate, I did notice the time you posted and wondered if you was out for a stalk or just restless ! I hate been laid up so I know the bored feeling, well hope it gets itself sorted quick, back on the deer before you know it, I will try and drop in soon when I next go down to the boat.
  12. Hi Rich, its going on an air rifle for rabbit control around an equine yard. Ps, how you getting on with the knee ?
  13. As above, I am looking for a brand new scope, upto £300 ish, I am looking at a mtc viper and the mtc taipan, but the hawke sidewinder looks ok as well, opinions please ? Or anything else I should be looking at
  14. Getting this bloody knee sorted out Rob ..really struggled this last few months so the quicker they sort it the better.I'll get you back down as soon as I'm up & running again .Did you put in for your ticket ..? Yeah dragging all them bloody deer about has done you in mate, you gotta go under the knife ? I have all the forms sat here almost filled out, but you may not know I am trying to buy a place in France, so thinking I may apply there and get the European licence instead, been so busy with work I have not really thought about it for a while.
  15. Nice one Rich, always good reading your exploits, you done well, and made the quota as well, what's next on the agenda for you ?
  16. Am just finishing my 24 foot sea fishing boat, not totally built by me, but stripped to just a bare hull and cabin, and fully built back up, loads of time and money, but actually loved every minute of it.
  17. I have never known anyone to pay for pigeon shooting around this way, as above, game shooting is worth money, vermin control is done for free usually, quite often a helping hand around the farm goes down well.
  18. Has anyone got any brass, my mate is looking for some for home loading, willing to pay for it obviously.
  19. Rich, my mate breaks a few quads, I will speak to him in the morning
  20. You boys are all having it away at them prices, all the dealers near here grumble if they have to,give a quid each, shot ones are often 25p
  21. I watched it, actually I quite enjoyed it as well.
  22. Pm me a list of what you have and prices, mainly use 300mm blades
  23. As above, not too thin, plasterer or render guy, do NOT polish it off as it will end like like glass, and just as slippy, those dogs need some grip.. Seems to me the general fall is right, just a few low spots that are holding the water ?
