    I was looking around for some compact but prolific fruit plants, to fit into my 'tiny-space allotment' project. In B&Q's seed selection , I came across the cucamelon (melothria scabra), and no, I'd never heard of it either ! Originally from South America, it's also known as the mouse melon and the Mexican sour gherkin. It produces grape-sized fruits that look like tiny watermelons, but taste of 'cucumber with a hint of lime' . Intrigued, I parted with £1.90, and took them home to research further. I've discovered that they can be easily grown outdoors, in a gro-bag or pot,

    Thanks terry , I'll have a look at that well that was bit of let down but early days ..................Different to what I was expecting So, it's not just me that can't tie a bouquet and makes runny curd. I feel much better now.........................

    Need a bivvy for the fishing match ? I'm selling my Fox Voyager XL 2-man bivvy and winter wrap - perfect for the 'longer stay' at the lakeside. In great condition, as described - just a couple of small tears in the front mozzie screen, but the wrap has it's own screen in it anyway. Otherwise, no damage or wear to the bivvy, wrap or ground sheet. The link below is to my friend's e-bay page, (I don't use PayPal) but PM me direct if you'd prefer to make an offer.     We sometimes fish a nice stretch of the Ouse . We tie a small bit of meat onto a length of line and pull a good few out - they really hang on ! Bit sly, I know, but it reduces the population a tiny bit. (The fat off a ham sandwich works a treat....... )

    The prosecutor has already gone to great lengths to point out that WHO he shot is almost immaterial. The charge of murder rests on 'intent', and they're contesting that if you fire a gun at someone, anyone, your intention is to injure or kill them - the name and address of the target doesn't matter. Prosecutor Nel badgered and badgered him very aggressively yesterday, along the lines that if it had been a real intruder, Pistorius still approached the bathroom with the intention of shooting.
