    If God is all-powerful, loves us and wants the best for us, why does he allow children to starve ? Is it because he won't stop it, or because he can't stop it ? If he won't stop it, then maybe he doesn't love us as much as his followers think, and if he can't stop it, then he obviously isn't all that powerful !

    On our wedding night, my wife confessed that she used to work qs a prostitute. To my surprise, I found the whole idea quite erotic, and we made love all night long.     It might be despicable but its a fact..........you can wake up tomorrow morning and decide you want a dog,go out in the aftenoon and buy one..............no different to a car or a toaster...................... = property..............you cant go out and buy family ! Sometimes as dog enthusiasts the reality doesnt sit well with us....... but it is what it is. Madonna and Angelina both bought family (allegedly !).........I've never come across it, but I'm absolutely certain that children can be bought. Would they be less of a human for it ? On a par with a dog ?

    Ye I heard their training is intense. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I heard on the radio before that with all the training they do their heart enlarges, and with that when they retire they have to keep up a training schedule for life to cope with the physical problems that comes from extreme training Can't see how or why the heart enlarges, but it works very hard over a long time/distance which can obviously put extreme pressure on the heart ...It might become more efficient over time. I've understand that the animosity from some sections of the crowd, and most of the French press, is aimed at the Sky team set-up and its perceived domination of the sport, rather than at Froome personally. I'm sure that a great consolation, as he cycles 50 miles, covered in some Frenchman's pi55 ! Either way, disgusting behaviour !

    I've not been trying to say that any one party is better or worse than any other - I'm concerned by Labour's demise (and that of the LibDem's, I suppose) because of the wider implications for democracy, not because I support either of them, because I don't ! My contention is that while there is no effective political opposition, we live, to all intent andpurposes, in a one party state, where the ruling group can follow any policy they choose - however unfair, unjust, short-sighted or self-serving that policy might be......and that, to me, is NOT a democracy. We need alternative voices

    So do the Welsh and the Scots. In fact, the English are the only ones in the UK to pay for water or prescriptions. NI, Wales and Scotland get them free at English expense !

    When you say "every time", I assume you mean the governments of Wilson, Callaghan and Blair/Brown, so that would be just 3 times. I can think of many more Tory F***-ups ! Heath took the country to the verge of disaster (and into Europe), Major was a catastrophe from day one and Thatcher, well........ Not taking one side or the other, just adding a bit of balance.......

    You cant keep blaming the tories ,its the last lot of s*** we had in power for 10 years !! Recruitment policy would have to be signed off by the Home Secretary - a Tory for the last 5 years or so.......
