  1. Aladdin's slippers can also be caused when deer are on very soft wet ground for a long period of time.... they dont get the chance to wear down on a hard surface, Now as for head shot oe heart lung, i'd suggest the latter, As you are new i think you say to the centre fire scence, head shot in my eyes is a complete no no......... the target is to small and you may maim an animal, taking the jaw off, or the side of the head, you need to respect the quarry you intend to hunt ane give it as fast a death as possible.... Now once you build up your confidence and skill i'd suggest
  2. Well with your back neck injuries, the pump action would soon make you sore, cycling say 50 rounds or so on a good rabbit day, by god you would feel a little sore in the evening, but you would have one massive bi-cep..... lol give a semi auto a try and see what you think... i bet you'll like it... Snap.
  3. just thinking on your injuries mate, a semi-auto would suit you down to the ground, in most case less recoil, light ish..... depending on what you go for,,, you'd soon get fed up with the pump, plus they are great fun too..... only thing that may hold you back maybe is that some or most shoots if you go on them won't allow a semi-auto as far as i'm led to believe. but for plain bunny bashing, vermin control, you won't beat a good semi..... best of luck.... Snap.
  4. just be carefull in warm weather as this will push the pressures a bit higher.... Also try reloader10 a great powder in the .204 group looks promising. well done. Snap.
  5. look for sticky bolt extraction, cratered primers, your shooting hot load there, As for which chrono, get the chroy beta master.......... excellent for the money.... stay away from the alpha model its good but has more trouble reading the bullet in low light.... Snap.
  6. Looks like your problems are never ending..... Stray nipples and stuff......... oh the pain of it............ Nearly there................. then you can put your feet up and relax...... Snap.
  7. Ian the pm system seems to be playing up big time....!!!! not sending or recieving ..!!! i've sent a few that weren't recieved and vice versa.... ATB. Snap.
  8. Sorry for the late reply..... Its a cannon eos 1000d
  9. And please guys, anyone who hasn't ordered one please do so, you will be helping two great charities that so desperately need it... i know times are hard for everyone, so please if you CAN, be generous... ATB. Snap.
  10. The lee kit WILL get you by, but if your serious about making quality ammo then you WILL need to upgrade whenever you find your feet.... the lee modern reloading book is excellent as is the hornady handbook of cartridge reloading, and if new to it i also suggest the A'B'C's of modern reloading.... take your time, if possible get someone close to you who reloads to show you the steps, its not rocket science, but can be dangerous. if mistakes are made... good luck. Snap.
  11. i would indeed mate, as below said by provarment, the forrester dies are good, but i never liked the screw adjustment on them... redding get my vote... teh runout increased by around 5 to 8 thousands when the lee dies sized the case....... sloppy. Snap.
  12. i'm sure your fine with both, as long as the owner is licenced to have the said firearm in question and is present with you. Snap.
  13. If you have a concentricity gauge, check the runout on a fired case, then put it through a lee neck size, or full length sizing die, then check the concentricity again you will be gobsmacked......!!!! been there and done it...... ATB. Snap.
  14. kay take it you've moved as your getting none of my Pm's how do you find the tamron 70-300mm ....? do you find it qualtiy, or just so so....? looking for something that'll reach out a little.. as well as close up.... Snap.
  15. thanks sean, first serious camera for me, i've always been into photography, but really never took the step into it, for financial reasons.... still couldn't afford it but thought what the hell, and treated myself..... too many settings to get used to at once though......lol Snap.
  16. SHOW off........... joking the swan is excellent, how did the lines appear, stunningly good.... Snap.
  17. the lee kit will get you away and serve you well enough, but you will change it, for another 85 stg you can get a redding kit.... better quality and you will use most of the components in it.. the turret press has the play in it from day one..... so go for the anniversary pack if money is tight.... most homeloads will beat factory ammo hands down.... but it depends how good you want your ammo to be....!!!! don't buy the lee dies however as they are pants....!!!!! go for redding from day one... Snap.
  18. cheers davy.... just take a few year to get used to it............lol Snap.
  19. i would personally recommend the rcbs or redding presses, namely the rockchucker, or the big boss, extermely well built and will last you a lifetime... lee presses will, DO THE JOB, to start you offm but you will change it for better once you know what your looking for.... The lee turret press has too much free play, in the turret vertically and leads to differences in COL, i know i had one......!!!! Whatever you go for, go for a well made single stage press..... buy once cry once, Also go for the redding dies.... well made, and you will see the difference in consistancy of
  20. open an account on photobucket mate.... and upload the images from your computer, you can then resize them, and just copy the image link, its not rocket science as even i can do it..... lol
