  1. Mc millian also said they didnt do the tikka m595, but i now have one, it costs a little extra for custom inlet but you can get in done...
  2. Also think it would be a bugger to keep, high moisture would worry me with a stock like this.. in case of warping.. but then again ive not had the option of using such a style.. Snap.
  3. Wow Mzing images, love the fith from last, terrier looking up to the right, really stood out for me... nice job..
  4. NO such thing as a stupid question mate, only a stupid answer, any bullet thats put in the kill area of an animal at 200 yards out of a .223 will kill it stone dead, i'd suggest you take the bullets you mention work up a load for both and see which is the most accurate at 200, if you can put the rounds into a tight group at that range then you are good to go, both bullets you mention are from quality manufacture's so its all down to how you can make them work for you, Snap.
  5. i only live in a small town by the sea, and its all countryside,
  6. halfords are a bunxh of monkeys, i had my bike in for new fork fitting and it took a month, and i ended up with crap, check out chain reaction cycles... Atb. Snap.
  7. grand for a quick clean in the field or if your in a hurry but i'd always give a good clean asap... the hmr is a dirty round, and a fast one for its size, so the barrel needs constant attention.. Snap.
  8. i have a browning gols fusion s/a had it from new, only thing i had to do was change safety over to push from left to right to fire, easy joy, never even see spent shell come outta the breach, good luck with your quest, Snap.
  9. Wow love the first 2 images esp, LG. AMAZING.... Snap. first is a real stunning shot.
  10. I'd say weak firing pin spring, Also check rims on mis fired rounds to see if theres a good indentation,
  11. bigger fools the people to rush out on a whim and keep prices as they are, they'll be crying shortage soon, and that will be an excuse to hike the price yet again... Dont let anyone tell you theres a shortage in fossil fuels, as 100's of wells are capped just waiting to be used, they have been for a long time, its all about keeping prices high, david belamy, who was a great nature man stated that global warming was only a cycle in the earths timeline, And now why do you think hes not allowed on telly....!!!!!!!!! because he's talking sense, its just an excuse for the goverment
  12. I'm fuming i had to wait about 2 mins for the car at the pumps to pull out today....lol
  13. Amazing capture mate, hard to beat a nice minky........ Snap.
  14. Do not attempt to open the scope up as they are filled with nitrogen to stop fogging, wd40 is a no go with scopes, and i suggest if this didnt work with the silicone then take it to a local rfd to look at.
  15. they do tend to be a little stiff on the hawkes i remember the same prob with the scope on my hmr... a 10x40 target model, use a little silicone grease, sparingly, and it'll normally work, Snap.
  16. foxhunter check out a free app for android, its called strelok ... And its accurate if you input the details right from the get go, i had exbal but when the battery on the handheld pc died i lost the bloody thing, strelok seems to be pretty close to the mark, Snap.
  17. Just got a call to go sort a fox tonight a farmer i know has lost a lamb with head ate off it... good shot mate btw.. longest shot for me this season is 404 yards.... snap.
  18. If you look for an M10 thunder bolt, you just drill the whole and screw the bolt in, never move, m10x75's would be perfect for the job Snap.
  19. manfrotto, i bought a cheapish tripod and it was a false buy, use it for macro work and the play in the old pod used to annoy the sh1t outta me, also use it for hdr work, and slow shutter speeds for nighttime photography, Atb. Snap.
  20. dual purpose, only the .243 gets my vote but then again i'm biased....lol i had a 6.5 x 55 se and only used it for deer, which was not very much at the time due to work, bought a tikka m595 .243 s/s and loved it to bits, due to funds sold the 6.5, used the .243 loads, deer and fox, as well as targets, got to know the rounds, progressed my skills, and now i have got a semi custom .243, in my old tikka, i used 58g v mmax or 70 g blitz kings new gun i have 1 in 9 twist, and shoot 87g v max, and 95g sst, and 105 a max for deer, And, get whatever gun you feel like but you wo
  21. A few things to look at.... why did they drill out the baffles on a .22lr mod, to 7mm...? You may as well not have a mod on at all...!!!! secondly was the threading job done by a professional, And is the mod seating square to the bore...!!!! Too many Good machinists think that because they are good with a lathe that they can do a threading job, When in fact they simply cant... Are the threads square to bore, or threaded to barrel ...!!!!! hope this helps, Snap.
