Mains Electric Fence Energiser Help
SNAP SHOT replied to jasper65's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I'm Very sure it is a misprint mate.... As part of the business i'm in deals with these on an everyday basis, And all energisers, which are mains operated use the same principal, Also common sense would say how the hell you gonna drive it at almost 10ft high....!!!!! Some of the products we deal with are able to power lines to extreme distances and all are grounded in this way, the only thing you need to watch for is that the ground you drive the rods into is damp even in the warmest days of summer, This makes sure that the rods are well grounded, Snap. -
He was trying to say drop that bloody camera and scratch my arse.... lol Well spotted. Snap.

Mains Electric Fence Energiser Help
SNAP SHOT replied to jasper65's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
Its means 2 or 3 1mtr long earth rods, and connect them from the first grounded one, then another meter and drive the second one in, and another one and drive the third in... then connect them with two seperate bits of earth wire one form first to second, and one from second to third rod, this increases the odds of earth and thus a good power output... Been to the northwest many times, And to see the dunlop lads taking the reins from their father is amazing, theres obviously something in the blood that makes you fearless when it comes to these speeds... can't wait for closer to the edge to go to dvd... -
Also thought of this bob as magnesium only lasts about 10 hours within the cattles system, Also the ammount of stock dying is not progressive to this, And most good farmers know to have mag buckets out with them or feed a cal/mag powder within the feed.... good thought though, The above is why i ruled this symptom out... suspect blackleg disease if that is the case..... http://www.aces.edu/pubs/docs/A/ANR-0888/

Could be a few causes to this.... 1) bought in feed containing toxins, ie. ragwort, which is very deadly to cattle, 2) Allergic reaction to dosing over the last few days... 3) blackleg or similar clostridial diseases, within the herd, these diseases can be very rapid from onset to death, and cattle mainly are found dead in mornings or early morning, he also need to stop grazing fields with deaths within them, or if any work has been carried out within fields where soil has been distrubed, as anthrax spores can survive within ground dormant for years... Also ask if he dos

Nice one mate, Well i've just started a house build a few months ago, and i've got apple, plum and cherry trees planted last year, i've also got blueberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, gooseberry and raspberry in, i've made a little lawn to potter about on too, and i can spend a few hours up just unwinding, the whole sites is an acre, so hopefully i'll get a bit of ground put aside for some root crops in the coming years... As above great advice, buy a target with the areas printed on it, and practice at the ranges you intend to shoot at, as your starting out the boiler room is the only shot i would recommend until you gain experience and knowledge. Snap.

Canon and nikon are very popular and you would need 2 lenses for such work i feel one in the 18 to 55mm and maybe a 70 to 200mm for may dog shots a little futher out, i'm no professional but this set up has not let me don so far, and the 18 55 mm comes as a kit lens, Check out you local photography suppliers, and ask plenty of question's before you buy, Snap.

Jesus h christ, People on this site just begger belief..!!! Call yourself animal lovers.... fooking disgrace to the term human.... Domesticated animals Don't have the same Wits as wild animals, An animal is an animal and each and everyone deserves respect.... Personally if i saw such an incident happen where i live to either a neighbours animal or my own then god help the dog... i'd shoot it on sight, Although its not the dogs fault i understand, but that of the owners, But no such evil barsteward should own an animal.... hence why i would do what i would do....
