  1. Thanks for your advice! Yes I am hoping to get lots of advice as am new to all this- usually hunt on horseback! Lol Same here, although the snow has put paid to that at the moment too !. I mooch with my lot, and lamp them once a week or so, depending on work shifts. I like watching them work, and run, and I am happy if they have had a good time out whether they bring anything back for the pot or not

    SNOW

you watching it some thing else i was 2 year old then no health and safety they days Dad didn't marry Mum for another 12 years - he was working in Devon, loved it so much that when he did marry, they moved down there and had us kids there. He still points out the place he left the car every time we drive over Telegraph Hill Hearing them talk about the dead fish, birds and animals though - all from snow and ice - scary
  3. Lovely dog ! Getting the recall sorted in an enclosed area, then build it up has always worked for mine. As for the rest, you'll get loads of great help and info here.

    SNOW

I remember my Dad telling me about that winter, and having to leave his car on Telegraph Hill, just outside Exeter, and walking home some 17 miles - and not being able to collect his car for nearly a month. The car was fine, and still there with no damage when he got back to it - not surprising in 1963.

    Horses

That's just horrific. I don't eat horse, but I accept people do - like any other source of meat - but for FFS kill it properly and humanely.
  6. Have to go with Bod. Trying to guess what flavour milkshake he would have at the end of the program was the highlight of my day
  7. Nice..........20 swim over and 15 swim back... Awesome, meat that delivers itself for free! ...........And no horses in that stuff.....
  8. Fire on, dinner on, music on, wine in glass, feet up on sofa..... and hello 4 days of no work !

    SNOW

I've had my suspicions that possibly you were pretending to be a woman on here Lara.............thanks for clearing that one up today..... nope, female and proud - although some days prouder than others !! I swear if I was blonde I'd be dangerous
  12. Very true. Talk about life upheaval. No I don't agree with what the women did, but wow those kids must feel horrible. There are 6 kids in my family - that would mean I was only worth about £4000. There is a time and a place for law suits.
  13. Both. They don't abide by the laws, we don't enforce them.

    SNOW

5" here and still falling heavily. Scary drive back from work, with a few sideways slides. Got back and helped neighbour dig his car out, he asked if my 4x4 dealt with the snow ok, and I had to admit I was in 2WD, as I forgot it had 4....
  16. Was waiting for the rest of the pics Looks like you had a great time out
  17. A clumsy dog is more likely to get injured, whatever breed. IMHO round feet are better than the hare feet that a lot of sighthounds have, and are less injury prone from running, and out of my lot, the 2 with collie in them ( they are collie x grey cross with grey x whip )have the best feet and leg bone.
  18. True With those eyes, it won't need lamping onto a bunny either
  19. The one who ate curries and humped poodles, or the one that would really struggle with rough terrain, but had laser eyes ?!
  20. Been snowing all afternoon - on top of the ice from last night. Will be fun tomorrow morning on the way back from work, as meant to be -4 tonight.
