  1. All of the above. The staff in the coffee shop at work ( don't even get me started on the idea that a hospital needs a Starbucks in it anyway... ) who get all uppity if I ask for a large white coffee, and try to suggest I mean a " grande cappuccino ? " No. I mean a large white coffee, Now just pour it, before you see just how annoyed a person can really be after a 12 hour night shift, and not enough coffee.
  2. am sure mooching the land your going to work the dog on for a few hours is better than nipping to the shop to see what chew its going to get is by far better.if not working the dogs gets walks hours on end... At 5 months old, mine are not spending 3 hours at a time out on my permissions. They come around with me, seeing stuff, and learning how to be a nice dog to have around. And yes, that includes going to the shop to collect the monthly freezer full of frozen RMB. Everyone does things differently, my lot have to fit in with my day to day activities, as well as work, and having dogs that ha
  3. IMHO I wouldn't be doing 2-3 hour walks. I find it more productive to get them to see different things - mine come to the train station, learn to stay in the car for short periods of time, learn to walk round a pet shop and not steal the food/chews, walking in the town to see people etc etc. The more they see and take in at an early stage, the more confident and chilled out. Sounds a great pup - take some pics and post them on here
  4. Mine don't go running with me til they are at least a year - the bones are too young, and too easily damaged. Stick to short, fun walks, with training in recall etc - he's a pup, let him have some pup time before he starts working. He doesn't need to be fit, he needs to be healthy and have a good bond with you.
  5. try the hacksaw blade first its free fcuk sake were only trying to get MILLET a sale here ok then the furryagitatorthinggmajigy is better than the free hacksaw blade and it will only cost him £ 10 lol, the benefit of the non-brand named "furryagitatorthinggmajigy" as opposed to the more expensive "furminator" ..... I'm a convert !
  6. Parvo is a virus - none of which are treatable with antibiotics. If you don't know what antibiotics are for - best leave it to a vet.
  7. They are awesome - remove all the dead stuff and don't " pull" like some combs/brushes can. If there is collie in the breeding and they are likely to shed the undercoat, then they are the best thing since the decent sized large wine glasses that mean you don't have to get up and fill the glass as often
  8. I hope your other dog is vaccinated - and as the others have said, don't be in a rush to get it back before a good clean - and if it isn't vaccinated, leave it where it is.
  9. I give mine sardines and other oily fish - and a decent brushing once a week. I have a blue merle lad who shines like coal on it. Good luck showing
  10. we have made it to zero lol, heading tropical then ! T-Shirt and shorts at the ready ive dug my speedo`s and raybans out Now that's not good, my head is now filled with a mix of Goose and Maverick on the beach playing volleyball, and the advert with the guy in the budgie smugglers who feels "so money supermarket.com, he feels epic "

  12. Just started here near Worcester. It blew a hoolie last night, and is still -1
  13. I wouldn't want to drive my truck over that one for sure - thats going to do more than bend a wheel rim. However, I also wouldn't jump in it myself to check the depth
  14. Agree. I can't do it - hence having 5 dogs, 3 of which barely leave the sofa, and an elderly horse that is an expensive field ornament - but I don't judge others. If the animal has a good life, and it ends in a decent way - be it sofa, bullet, big blue needle etc then that is fine. What I don't like is hearing of elderly dogs ending up in rescue shelters, confused and scared, because either the decision wasn't made, or they were abandoned.
  15. pmsl. .house prices will be dropping around your way Watch it matey !
  16. i dont understand how they went from his body being thrown in the river soar to finding it under a car park How do hey now it's him anyhow? DNA, carbon dating, and his spine has a hump deformity I don't understand how DNA will help when they've not got anything to match it too to say its him? They have a distant relative, and apparently the percent of matched DNA makes it more likely than not, that they are related. Holy shite, they've found living relatives! That's brilliant! What a find! Jeremy Kyle can find anyone !

  19. @ AFT American Weirwolf in London ?
  20. My neighbour swears he didn't take pics ! The one round here doesn't cause much problems - I found where he got in the garden and blocked it, and he hasn't been back since. Most of the ones I see out and about are mangy looking things. There is a p***y site a few miles away, that ditch the odd badly butchered carcass, so they tend to stick over that side of the valley.
  21. They are certainly getting more bold. I woke mid morning a couple of months ago when the chooks were all kicking off in the garden, sat up in bed, looked out of the window and saw a fox dragging a chicken up the garden. Never left the house so fast in my life. Not sure who was more shocked - the fox looking up to see a pissed off, naked, screaming red head running straight for him - or the neighbour, who hearing the commotion came into the garden to find me standing there holding a stressed out chicken strategically to cover myself up !
  22. Apparently they used DNA from a London living, Canadian born distant relative. How they can possibly say for sure though, seems odd. I bet Jeremy Kyle can't top that one.
  23. Was chatting to my Dad about this earlier - he told me about a pub he used to go in in Torquay - run by a friend he used to play rugby with. He said it was a proper ale place - good chat, good fights, good times. Apart from when the EF foreign students would wander in and ask for a lager and lime... then they were politely reminded that this place served beer not ferkin cocktails. We would go there after rugby on a saturday, and me and my brothers would sit in the garden for 3 hours with a coke and packet of crisps, while Dad and his mates chatted inside.
