  1. Will keep my eyes open too Stan and will pass on the information to plenty in the area. Best of luck.
  2. I think basically, its just to much of an emotive subject for 'ol Joe public. A nice glossy cover on a DVD of this game outside a stall at a gamefair or better still, sold on ebay, would certainly attract the 'wrong' interest. I recon many who have produced film for the fieldsport market would fight shy of possibly bringing a whole heap of 'shinola' on top of themselves and hunting in general, if stills were shown centre pages of The News of the World, or footage was shown as a video nasty on some debate programme on TV? Just my thoughts....... but I could be very wrong!!
  3. All the old classics, but two faves over the past few years League of Gentlemen The Fast Show
  4. thats fecking mad, all that money!!!!!! i seen their on ch 4 the other night, where gun and knife crime has gone threw the roof in cities in the uk, mainly london, yet nothing gets done about it?? i suppose, better to pick on the soft targets!! cheers simoman, ill google earth that and have a look. Quite a few places up and down the country where police helicopters will singleout dog lads, from digging to lamping we are almost public enemy No.1. for the eye in the sky. Lampers are a particular favourite around here. Flick the beam on whilst Merseysides chopper is out and about, no
  5. 'Nice shootin Tex'....... Well done JD, in some areas I belive they are spotted regular but in others very elusive..... Never had the pleasure myself, seen the signs, seen the bubbles but always lost 'em!! Well done again!

  14. The Wilson sisters...... As The Lovemongers.......
  15. In my oppinion 'The' champion of the Working Terrier..... and also a very nice bloke. I have enjoyed all his books, read and re-read them. From the Year Books to EDRD he has stood up to be counted, through much adversary, battled through and continued to produce a consistant top read. Loves and lives for his dogs and the pleasure they give him. From The World of the Working Terrier....... 'Terriers had always threatened to take over my life and so, I let them.' Says it all to me......
  16. Great thred and some very good responce. I once read that the working terrier is 'the only' animal that will enter an enviroment that is totaly ailen, to seek out a quarry that would be inedible....... Or summat like that (without me skimming quickly through Harcombe's book). So how would anyone expect any/every youngster that didn't 'go' to be a failure, or first time to ground on quarry with sucess, to be a 'made' digging dog. Also, a good start doesn't make for plain sailing, the first dig or digs might seem so good but every earth and every encounter is different, especially to

    FRED DIBNAH.

To all of the above........ Fred Dibnah........Legend!!!
  18. Don't doubt you on that Simo and would agree, as you know far more than I on such matters. Though I did once have the 'pleasure' of being the 'victim' for a very well trained Dobie that was imported from Austria (I think). The most intimidating dog, it hit my arm like a fecking lorry, knocked me flat, felt it for weeks after! The bloke that brought it over had a import Rottie too, although the Rottie had the size, the sheer strike of the Dobie was awsome. This thing (Doberman) just didn't 'quite' look like your average breed type and its 'switch on, switch off' nature was quite un-ner
  19. Interesting stuff....... I too thought we didn't and couldn't have 'wild' breeding stick insects in the UK. This throws everything my infant school teacher said to me last time I was 'good' enough to mind them during the holidays into confusion ! 100 years.......! Maybe its showing that 'global warming' is not so new????

    ITV now

Just watched it and....... He's a interesting bloke, you can tell, he is and knows he's at the top of his game. For a man with a formidable reputation in the kitchen, he always comes across very..... understanding when in one! Makes you wonder why the feck Ramsey's always blowin smoke out of his arse!! A man who talkes in statements! I do like his 'no fuss' attitude when it comes to his grub. Yep he's won his stars (Michelin!) but as seen on Hells Kitchen also, when he's talking and showing to people, its always the 'best/easiest option, he keeps things simple. How good did that
  21. Lucky man Roan, lovely dogs, over great ground, on good quarry....Thanks for the pics.
  22. Wire tears always look pretty bad but i'm sure you'll do all thats required and he'll be back in action soon. I agree with Bird, summer hunting can be dodgy, with everything high, dangers are hard to spot but when you've got the bug.........!
  23. Hiya Crissie and welcome :welcomeani:
