  1. A classic..... Just realised that two of my fav's are about being in denile about love
  2. Please disregard the video for this, it's an album track but...... I find this gets me every time, beautiful......
  3. Can't find the original on the Tube so..... Van Morrison, CrazyLove
  4. The Wilson sisters...... As The Lovemongers.......
  5. In my oppinion 'The' champion of the Working Terrier..... and also a very nice bloke. I have enjoyed all his books, read and re-read them. From the Year Books to EDRD he has stood up to be counted, through much adversary, battled through and continued to produce a consistant top read. Loves and lives for his dogs and the pleasure they give him. From The World of the Working Terrier....... 'Terriers had always threatened to take over my life and so, I let them.' Says it all to me......
  6. Great thred and some very good responce. I once read that the working terrier is 'the only' animal that will enter an enviroment that is totaly ailen, to seek out a quarry that would be inedible....... Or summat like that (without me skimming quickly through Harcombe's book). So how would anyone expect any/every youngster that didn't 'go' to be a failure, or first time to ground on quarry with sucess, to be a 'made' digging dog. Also, a good start doesn't make for plain sailing, the first dig or digs might seem so good but every earth and every encounter is different, especially to

    FRED DIBNAH.

To all of the above........ Fred Dibnah........Legend!!!
  8. Don't doubt you on that Simo and would agree, as you know far more than I on such matters. Though I did once have the 'pleasure' of being the 'victim' for a very well trained Dobie that was imported from Austria (I think). The most intimidating dog, it hit my arm like a fecking lorry, knocked me flat, felt it for weeks after! The bloke that brought it over had a import Rottie too, although the Rottie had the size, the sheer strike of the Dobie was awsome. This thing (Doberman) just didn't 'quite' look like your average breed type and its 'switch on, switch off' nature was quite un-ner
  9. Interesting stuff....... I too thought we didn't and couldn't have 'wild' breeding stick insects in the UK. This throws everything my infant school teacher said to me last time I was 'good' enough to mind them during the holidays into confusion ! 100 years.......! Maybe its showing that 'global warming' is not so new????

    ITV now

Just watched it and....... He's a interesting bloke, you can tell, he is and knows he's at the top of his game. For a man with a formidable reputation in the kitchen, he always comes across very..... understanding when in one! Makes you wonder why the feck Ramsey's always blowin smoke out of his arse!! A man who talkes in statements! I do like his 'no fuss' attitude when it comes to his grub. Yep he's won his stars (Michelin!) but as seen on Hells Kitchen also, when he's talking and showing to people, its always the 'best/easiest option, he keeps things simple. How good did that
  11. Lucky man Roan, lovely dogs, over great ground, on good quarry....Thanks for the pics.
  12. Wire tears always look pretty bad but i'm sure you'll do all thats required and he'll be back in action soon. I agree with Bird, summer hunting can be dodgy, with everything high, dangers are hard to spot but when you've got the bug.........!
  13. Hiya Crissie and welcome :welcomeani:
  14. Got to agree with Tomo on that Mark...... Then as Simo so elequantly put it....... 'If it was a Badger you would be in a world of shit'........Now ain't that the truth!!
  15. She looks a really usefull type, a good age, sounds like you've put a bit of effort in too and for that price.....! Best of luck
  16. I 'owned' one for a bit, fantastic lookin thing, racy with a huge head, though got to be honest, I didn't rate it. All this 'peformance bred' line stuff, it just didn't have the minerals....... I wouldn't have put it above any type of game lurcher. A 'normal' bred bull cross would serve better. Head pic of it in my gallery, can't put any other ones up as my pc's playin up.
  17. There lookin good Dooson, which out of the two is Asme's and where is he, ain't seen him on here for ages, though I did hear he's all loved up?

    Hunt Balls

Some Balls are held for charity..... Some Balls for fancy dress....... But when their held for pleasure....... There the Balls I like the best........ AC/DC, Bon Scott (Legend) Never made a Hunt Ball but would have to agree with SS, from what I've heard they are a feckin 'free for all'!!
  19. Plenty of 'spacemen' in this city....... Easily identified, black 'Locost' trackies and 'North Face' t*"~t hats (winter & summer), smoking large hand rolled ciggies and talking all things 'beak' laa, dragging a scabby Bull x to a show ground near YOU soon!! Did here on the radio that the lights had been seen over various parts of Cheshire earlier in the week.
  20. Been a good few posts about this cross, I'm always interested in 'em, with a soft spot for EBT's. Spoken to a few who have or had 'em but have yet to see a pic of one. Though all have said they have been really good at work. In anticipation..... Bosun
  21. Thats a crackin lookin pup Rob and a bloody good size for his age. Best of luck with the sale, for £150, well worth a punt!
  22. Saluki X Husky...... Better call Mr Burrell All jokes aside, you never know...... Might just produce the goods Though I wouldn't be paying that price to find out.......
