  5. Very nice Gary, I have some of the same work on me, nice stuff and I also think it does look better without the red.
  6. Right behind you on this one Ditch..... The same subject used to rattle my old man's cage really bad when I was a kid. Used to 'holiday' at Formby Point caravan park every year when I was growing up. Cheap and close to me Dads work, as he never had a day off, so me Mam took a job in school dinners an we'd get dumped there for the entire summer hols...... fantastic!! Place was crawlin with critters, rare ones too, Natterjack toads and Sand Lizards, me Dad loved to take us out on them long nature walkes in the evenings, spotting such creatures in the last of the days sun. What re
  7. Very best of luck Swag....... Fingers crossed for ya.
  8. Best of luck with her Ditch, tidy lookin bitch and a crackin second photo too.
  9. Job done Ditch, I do hope some on here take the time to read this?
  10. There's still a few about if you know where to look. Kept and dug to a few Park bred dogs over the years, never 'seen' a bad one.
  11. Very nice Chris, in top nick too, good to see
  12. A bit early to start.......? Well, for me i'm always looking at Lurchers and the various crosses that make up this wonderful type, even when i've got all I require in the yard. So, after losing my young bitch I suppose i'm gonna have to start looking at just what I want from a lurcher these days, i've just gotta start doin my homework!! The funny thing is, this site, I trawl through the various posts on this and that cross, virtues and pitfalls ,of course its gotta be one of the ports of call in my search but it just seems to bog me down. I feel mixed reactions to posts that go up (us
  13. StrongStuff's profile says he's 99!!!
  14. For all your comments, we thank you, one and all.
  15. Its never easy, which ever way they go, sorry for your loss.
  16. Now i'm not a fan of going for a shine this time of year, just never seems right for me. A mate of mine has asked me for a bit now, to help him out thinning some rabbits on his land. He has a young collie x on and though shaping up well, he's still very puppyish, so I was asked to give him a lift. Ok, not a problem we have been before and to be honest it would be a good opportunity to keep Bella going, as she's been doing so well. First bit of wind for a bit an it's GO! First field and a few sat out, wanted to see his young dog so he got first slip.... missed, though getting bette
  17. Recon that would be due to those leather 'hotpants' you keep wearing SS
  18. Best fox night, 9 with two dogs. Best rabbit night/nights, 30 each night on successive nights over the same ground, one dog, same dog both nights, (had bigger hauls on single nights out but those two were....a bit good! Best night, 2 foxes, 2 hares, five bunnies, one dog.
  19. Just what i was gonna mention, SS does any type of collar with a refletive strip and they really can come in handy. Got some years ago and wondered if it would work, it does and now Strong Stuff does 'em. Used if two dark dogs are running, you can tell which is which, though i'd blacken one strip in patches to tell the difference, bet SS would make 'em up different if asked nicely. If your dog is running single it sorta keeps one eye on the dog whilst your concentrating on your chosen quarry with the lamp, you get a better view of the twists and turns just out of the main beam. One sli

Started to watch the first few episodes, some fit women all hot an steamy from the tropics but came to realise two things.... One, they are never gonna get to the end with it and i'll always be 'hanging on'. Two, must be a load of shite as that fat fecker never got any thinner living on a tropical island with just fish and coconuts for grub. Arse!!!
  21. Alsationx's are very handy dogs, a few off here have 'em. A mate had a Dalmation x a few years back, one hell of a fox dog, he was willful and to fond of a 'tear-up' in the back of the motor for his liking (I hate kick-off merchants too). Nice lookin mutt. Labrador x's seem a bit rarer, probs due to supposed litter wastage but looking at quality working labs they have a good shape. A mate of mine who penned a few articles in EDRD had one, he wrote under 'Greylab', he's a good mate of Mr1 off here. This dog had a decent reputation around Liverpool, this dog had all the lab qualitys but
  22. I think in politics he's a 'breath of fresh air', always has me watching
  23. I know how I got started..... but I've never figured out why I started.....?? I've ponderd this a bit over the years..... what makes some people love to hunt, with others indifferent and some a loathing to it?? The 'rush inside' from the chase, the addiction to the game...... seems to come from somewhere deep.......? Was it from something seen, or, did it come from way back......the way we are bred....... our ancestry......? Is it consistant with generations (my fathers side hunted) or does it slumber and re-emerge........ I have two brothers, one indifferent and one loathes...
