  1. Millet, that is one cracking pic...
  2. Chilly, i've only owned one whippet/greyhound (or Grew, to some) and looking back, knowing that time makes past dogs look better, i'd have to say, she was very good!! Everything you are asking about the cross is a yes and i'll stick my neck out, from what i've seen and say that i'd take one over a pure whippet any day. Lets be dead straight here and say that its always 'horses for courses' and it'd always be about what you want to run, the land you want to run it over and how you bond with your dogs? So when getting any new dog these questions must be well mulled over BUT the bottom l
  3. Just hit that link an a post I made came up on the first page... I'll stand by everything I put... I like a weirdo cross but they wern't worth a toss. Oh yer an before anyone says, 'yer but they were to a lurcher an a greyhound would be different', as they did on the last thred, I'd still say that the Rottie is still too clumpy a mutt to be breeding F1 lurchers from. Yep, mentally they could be just the ticket if the right one is sought but physically... You'll find the same and better mentally and much better physically in other breeds.
  4. Nice terriers, especially that Russell.
  5. Same dog Paulus... Just a crap cameraman!

Me John, 1978..!! For those that don't know, an old army barracks in North Wales, used as a getaway/school holiday(!) for school kids from err.. 'average' ( ) comprehensives in Liverpool. Rough as feck but most loved it... Think all had the obligatory climb of Mole Fammor during their stay... John, if your on Facebook, look up the page 'I survived Anny Comp', loads on there about it..!
  8. the fish as no tail graty market havent been there in a long time john I know John, just taking the Michael... As for the fish.. It's real I recon, been taken off by a preditor as a little 'un and managed to stay alive and grow. Unless your now going to put up a clip where its head turns to face us and it starts singing Elvis songs...
  9. I'd agree HM, collie has been added in large ammounts before and again just recently and is getting results, same as greyhound and Moscow has added bull to his, (nothing new here either) with good results. It's the quality of the blood used that makes the difference. Andy and his lads know what they want from their dogs as does Moscow. Both giving 'em enough real graft to know and both will admit what has worked and what hasn't. From sitting here reading, what I see is two slighty different directions but both with the same aims. To produce a quality lamp dog, to run 'their' chosen qua
  10. Fake... They were sellin them hats on Graty market with an Abercrombie & Fitch badge on 'em last week!!
  11. i'd agree Bill, though I have on occasion bought an Ox heart for myself an the dogs have had a bit, no probs there but that ammount of offal daily...
  12. From what I know (as i'm no fisherman!), speaking over the years to Lakeland fishermen, Pike are a difficult catch on big water like Windermere. As said Char are 'the' fish locals most prize, still a bloody difficult catch i'm told but local to the area so well worth the effort. Ullswater is the best of the lakes for Char i'm told.
  13. Don't be shy Moscow.. Say whats on ye mind..
  14. Si, a heard of Wolverines have been spotted on the dunes by ours... When you come up we'll twat 'em with Troy-Boy and the one-eyed toothless bin-licker..!!
  15. Is that the bloke known by many as lying Baz, Blackwater??
  16. I always put it down to the time he was garden & kennel bound Andy but maybe...?? 'Ol Scooby does like a 'lie-in' too but not near as much. Right.. Were's Kyles phone number...??
  17. Who says I only keep fat headed bull crosses...? (they just last a bit longer.. )
  18. A husky... This thred is mostly about Andys dogs and the dogs that his are from, its his choices when all said an done. He's used full Greyhound and full Collie, so what, from what I've read here they were both used in the line in the past and both types seem to be doin all right. Wouldn't be my direct choices but then I've never been as smart as to keep a line of fine dogs. If anyone else owns a dog of this blood well.. Its up to them where they want to go with it.
  19. Go on... They'd be right up your street.. Ya know ya wanna..!!
  20. This is a pic of one of my current dogs Andy. His sire was 'supposed' to be a Minshaw bred dog and other than the lads word I have no idea if he was. The tale goes that my mate got a call from a lad he knows, asking that whilst he is 'inside', could we find a home for the dog he had left. The lad had just found out that his mother still had it, two years with him away and the dog had never been out the garden! My mate didn't have a motor and asked me to pick it up with him, I told him he must be nuts but he said that it was a Minshaw dog the lad had brought down from the lakes as a pup. It had
  21. Thanks Andy, she was a bonny looking bitch. Yes I seen Obo out but only with the terriers. Ness I had in my kennels for a bit but she was a fecking loon. Obo's owner took her back and kept her mainly as a guard.. She scared the shit out of most people!!
  22. This pic was taken in '90, on my young bitches first night out, she's the one on the right and out of M.R.'s Ness, which was out of his dog Obo. Ness was put to a good collie cur with a good reputation in the city. Both parents and grandparents and were bloody good dogs on big stuff, sadly this bitch didn't make the grade with that gear. She was however a cracking bitch on rabbits & hares. For that game i'd own another like her in a flash.
  23. This was a half bred, out of a Scott/Hines dog to a greyhound bitch, 'sports performance' I think the bulldogs line was called by some.... That'd be just about the last thing I'd have called this big shithouse and so it went to 'live on a farm'..!
