  1. Just thought I'd put up a few pics of my mates old dog Stripe after a walk this evening. He's twelve now, at least! Just lurcher x lurcher bred, ain't got a clue whats in him, only the names of the dogs he's out of, goin back a fair few generations now. All his life he's been a laid back 'easy' dog, almost invisible at home and in the field he's sommat else. His tally of gear over the years is quite something. He's as hard as feckin nails, with a gob like a steel trap and he's still working. Even at this age, he'd still put many to shame. Just a good 'ol Scouse lurcher...
  2. He's got it mate but asked me to see what else is out there...
  3. that was what I thought of too- don't see why it needs to be a pure Teckel, a teckel 'type' that had the same qualities could be just as good? Maybe it could Spec... But it ain't me who is after the stud, so if you know any with cross bred Teckle stuff, let me know an i'll pass the info on.
  4. I voted Wxm, though if you don't win, why don't you just give it a bloody good go yourself mate? When I moved here the garden was far far worse than yours, an overgrown death trap but I got stuck in and made a difference. We also started putting a few bob aside back then, small amounts and have now, three years later, laid a cracking patio area across the back. All in all i'm proud as punch and, apart from the patio, it cost feck all except effort... Best of luck mate..
  5. Fantastic pics mate, as it should be...
  6. All... As it stands currently the Merseyside T&LC will not be doing the lurcher & terrier show on this date. We have already informed the organisers, from the cancellation of the first show, but our name is still on the site, so we will try and have it removed asap. I apologise on behalf of the club for any misunderstandings caused...
  7. The only decent thing to watch on that programme and in 8 pages, only you an me comment on it... On a forum about dogs...!
  8. 'Whippets for gardens' could be the new thing... The lurcher version of a 9mm... Just stock your garden with bunnys an let fly... All permo, all day... You garden looks quality mate... But a bit sterile, you need more cover for the bunnys!!
  9. Their was more too that young girl that meets the eye. It seemed like the biggest mistake she was making was that low life fella she had, dragging her down, damn shame... Was it just me or was anyone else taking notice of how good she had her dog... Proper dog imo, laid back, unrestrained, loyal, intelligent (to the point where it dropped back when they were arguing in the street). I know it was just a snap shot but I love that attitude...
  10. Whippets for gardens... :toast:

  14. As it reads folks... My mate is looking for a Teckle stud to use over his mini bushing dogs anyone know where he can find one.. Distance not a problem an these bitches of his really do 'go', so a good working Teckle stud should be just the ticket?? It's sommat I don't know much about but if anyone can help drop me a pm an i'll give you his number...
  15. Lookin good Fuzzy... How nice is the English countryside on a spring morning eh....
  16. Gafer, if I had that money right now I'd snap it up an get all 'Marco' in the kitchen... I hope a blade like that finds someone who will use it properly...
  17. Now that ain't sommat don't you see every day... Deer by day in a built up area... Gotta say good snaps too. That ground would favor the deer but the dog nailed it..? You get into bother doin stuff like that..?? Oh yer, an anymore pics??
  18. Nice one Christine, well done your boy...
  19. Top dogging spots, dwarfs, whores, other peoples ferrets/terriers/hounds and a whole lotta ear ache! On the odd occasion, I've found some decent places to shine...
  20. I highlighted it wondering if you meant 'lamped' hares HM, because where I live they've always been nearly as hard to kill by night as they have by day.. Big difference between a hare on Altcar and one just north of the border and I certainly ain't decrying another mans means...?
