  1. Classic... right up there IMO... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3UbCVQzBd0
  2. Though I'd 100% go with Simoman on his first post and go for a good quality alarm before any dog. If it is a dog you need MOST lurchers will do an alarm/basic deterrent type job, though many would go a damn sight further if required. Just about every type i've owned would guard to a greater or lesser extent, with some just plain 'ol nasty feckers themselves, especially those with collie blood, no need for exotic crosses! If folk put a bit more faith in our Lurchers 'all round' ability's rather than getting yourself a big mean guard breed, you'd save yourself a whole lotta money, ti
  3. Some oldies... Robins Nest Chance in a Million Rise & Fall of Reginald Perrin Brush Strokes Terry & June The Likely Lads Till Death Us Do Part Nearest & Dearest
  4. Citizen Smith.... Power to the people..!!!! Remember... His birds mam called him Foxy...
  5. Porridge is still my most watched... I can flick over, see any part of any episode, keep watching and love it..! Fools & Horses, as Gnash said, faltered in later years. Go back, watch the first couple of series, you'll see the difference. For me the turning point was Rodney's marriage. Rising Damp was quality as was The Good Life. Two others not mentioned, (for those of us old enough!) are George & Mildred (Youtha Joyce, genius!) and Mind Your Language... Remember them..??
  6. I was at the welsh that year and i remember that dog the truck looked like it was going to roll the dog was like a lion and i think it was only a pup at the time. Aye, thats the one, big flap over the back to keep both prying eyes out and psychotic eyes in...
  7. Only seen one of these things in the flesh, a lad had one ringside at the Welsh a few years ago, in the back of his pickup... Not the friendliest of beasts tbh..!!
  8. Nice pics mate, like the way that young un is bred too...
  9. They'll never be the same but some can go for years and only f**k up here and there. Its not a big deal to me to be honest. I think its a bullshit term that is way overused. Every single dog every born gonna do it sooner or later if you get after it. Who gives a shit. Its the ones that do it to damn quickly and you know it in your heart they aint got it cuz you've seen enough to know. A guy been in dogs a few years has no business really judging them but if you grew up around them and done a ton of hunting then you can make them decisions rather quickly as whether or not they are a keepe
  10. Like that wooly fecker Goldfish, always drawn to the womble lookin ones, one day I might treat meself..! Gotta ask though, why are you holding its tail out. Seen this done with a few coursing dogs, never understood why? (whilst it stands all over yer Samba!)
  11. Just had a quick look for a recipe for that and it does look nice http://www.nutmegsseven.co.uk/2011/03/thai-rabbit-curry.html The write up for that recipe is fecking quality... have a read...!
  12. Loads of good rhubarb recipes. It's great stuff!! As said, crumble is easy enough, as is stewed, which is my fave with a dollop of cream, or homemade custard. Yum..!! Oh yer, stay well away from those leaves..!!! Edited to add... Don't forget making vino..!!!

  15. 100% with that last post Jerry... Only 'some' go on to be producers and more importantly, folk have been far too concerned about percentages (fractions) than 'ability' for too long an thats a factor to why so much shite is being bred these days. As I put before and I'm as guilty of it as any, one reason why Stripe never lined anything is that we all just took him for granted, the little ugly mutt that just soldiers on when all these film star types with 'percentages' were getting all the lime-light and attention. It's only when you take a look in the rear view mirror that you reali
  16. He was never put to anything until recent, think everyone just took him for granted and went to more 'typey' dogs with 'fractions' in their pedigree! Then, when eventually tried, he produced nothing and we thought he was a jaffa. He recently lined a tidy cur type bitch and produced one pup. Vet said at his age he could sire anything from twelve to none, its a gamble. Probably shooting dust, so he needs a very wet bitch..!! To be honest, I'd love a pup out of him...
  17. Nice pics an fine hounds RM..
  18. He has and the legs of Elvis..
