Lol, Most of their customers are farmers and not big wealthy ones either. When I've brought one of my dogs in for a check up after previous treatment they've not charged. They are nearly 20 miles away but they know how to look after their customers.

Last year my dogs had a second booster can't remember what for but the vet had been looking after my dogs for 8 years, she said it was a one off as there was a spike in the infection it covered and it was free. She said the vet practice is more interested in cutting infection rates as opposed to money.

Got the quote for the turbo, oil filter and oil with fitting just over £500. I priced reconditioned turbos and they were only £60 less so may as well go with a new one with warranty. That means no guns until next year, hey ho shite happens. Lol.

I was making progress in getting a shotgun and possibly a.22 this summer. Had a decent permission sorted with decent wild fowl and possibly another one with a few bunnies on it. I also had money put aside for a deposit so no going back. We are also looking at buying a little bit of land which I have been to several times and each time I have seen bunnies and/or pheasant, I was like a kid in a toyshop. But then the turbo went in my car and it'll cost me my gun money and then some.... Just my feckin luck. Anyone else being fecked over by circumstance?

I have a pair of Lowa Combat gtx and they are like trainers. Nice and light. I use them for hillwalking in the Mournes. I treat them every so often with Lowa stuff and waterproofer. They can be resoled upto twice I think it is. My next pair of Lowa will be the Hunter's.
