Good advice above, you would be better off going to a club and trying some before you waste your money on a smk for me but depends on how much you want to spend. You'll be fine shooting in your garden providing you have adequate backstop and no pellets leave your boundry.

bloke near us has a big window in the side of his, mind you the pond in his conservatory is about 18ft x 12ft by 9ft deep, I think he has more water in his gaff than air

Bosuns correct, you don't keep the fish you keep the water and the fish look after themselves. If your building a new one you want to go at least a metre deep prefarably as deep as possible That's how you can get the volume without taking up a lot of room. All depends on what you want what space you have to play with and how much you want to spend.

Sack basc off, go with sacs its far better value and better insurance, and if someone already has permission I'd leave them to it maybe its just me.

they can be a pain to get off if you can order it without it already without getting stung I would. if you were getting 30 yard with the filter on it should be a lot better without.

have you buggered the camera trying to remove the ir? I cant open your pic so not sure on what set up you have but it took me abit of mucking about altering the distance from the back of the scope, the lens and settings for camera and its good for 200 think camera was about 16 quid. also if you have an ao scope it could be that blurring it out at different ranges.

Pressuming that's from nose to end of tail? Had a few that would qualify but biggest one iv seen was last week wish I'd had chance to get a shot off would of easily been biggest iv shot. With regards to rat in pic think its just a brown that's wet they can look black and flash on pic prob makes it look darker.
