    your sorted for taking it back then like mac said take him with you to the shop or better still go to a club first and get him have a try with as many as possible, l would go for a little used hw, bsa or older brum webley.

    ah apologies I was thinking the barrel too long not well up on gamos tbh, where did you get it from? macavoys will let you take them back in the first month I think if it doesn't suit.

    strange as my S200 doesnt have re-coil but this little 177 does? Uhh! s200 is a pcp so no recoil, gamo is spring rifle so will recoil, if its smacks you in the eye your to close a shorter break barrel will be harder to cock though, so you might not be gaining anything.

    it aint about being sporting its about pest control, but how is letting tonnes of shot fly at a bird in flight more sporting than a clinical head shot exactly?

    i looked into it abit back when 50 odd of the buggers dropped onto one of my perms and came to above conclusion.

    I got some from pound shop near us, same with ret on scope. just need to get the code off the battery, don't have it to hand but you need three from memory.

    seems it was the charger, new battery charged up so tried it on the one thought was duff and seems to be charging.

    battery turns light green whether its switched on at the wall or not could be charger that's fecked suppose, same as mole I know it needs to be on just cant get it to charge never had a prob before. just ordered one from amazon for delivery before 1pm, dearer than the slow boat but means I can have another couple of nights this week.

    think it was just a dodgy connection, presume batterys still fully charged even though been out with it every night since sat nope deffo knackered
