Agree, there's so much propaganda in MSM it's like North Korea. I just shake my head in astonishment. So many crazy things happening in society and kids just think them normal.

Wow. I didn't realise they were that rare. I feel quite privileged to have seen it. I only caught sight of the bird for a fleeting moment, but it wasn't being harassed by the others.

I saw either a white swallow or a white sand martin , (I'm not sure which) as I was crossing the river Eden on the M6 motorway. At first I thought it was an escaped white budgie but it was flying with swallows and sand martins so it was unlikely to be a budgie.

High Noon, a western made in the fifties,but still a cracking film. Sometimes corny but I really enjoyed it. It was the favourite film of 3 American presidents. Clinton showed it 17 times at the Whitehouse. Lots of themes in it which are still relevant today. Its free on All4.

Newkid has been through extensive vetting, personality and Man U history tests, and is considered a bone fide Man U supporter ( second class). He has a further 10 initiation tests to complete before he can be considered a first class Man U supporter. The first of these will be to appropriate 10 Leeds Utd scarfs to be used as trophies. They must be taken in fair combat from Leeds fans over 6 ft in height and below age 60. I am confident he will complete this challenge with ease.

There was a big thing about 'Turkey teeth' in the UK media last week. They file your real teeth down and stick veneers on. But some people are left with horrific problems afterwards. They must be f****n mad to pay all that money to look like a horse and risk lifelong pain.

Do you think proportional representation would be worth pursuing? I do. The tories always get in despite a minority of people voting for them. Critics say you always get watered down policies, but first past the post produces parties which the majority didn't vote for. At best it could stop the excesses of one particular party.

The problem is we sold off our oil and gas to the highest bidder. We don't own our own energy sources, foreign multi nationals do. They will sell to the highest bidder. Compare our approach to those forward thinking countries which put all their oil and gas into a central fund for the good of its citizens. Norway? Iceland? I think. .

Yes everybody expects the triple lock to be dropped in the next tory manifesto. Triple lock is either wage growth, 2.5% or annual inflation, all measured by cpi.

It's the same with pensions. The state pension used to rise annually according to how much wages had risen. Thatcher changed that method and linked the annual rise to the retail price index. (rpi)Then the tories said that was too expensive. The triple lock was introduced which meant pensioners either got the greater of either 2.5% of the annual consumer price index (cpi), or the average rise in wages as measured by cpi or cpi itself if it was greater than 2.5%.
