  1. I think a lot of individuals look better before surgery/ enhancements. These plastic surgeons should be made to prove an op is necessary and not just a fad or a fashion.
  2. High alert! Postcode exchange coming up! Can I film the straightener guys? Cannes film festival always looking out for original comedy entries.
  3. Living your life through your kids is bad for parents and kids. When you read about the kind of lives the Williams sisters had ,it puts their success in perspective. Same for Thierry Henry,Tiger Woods. Their parents were hyper critical and withheld approval and love unless they achieved success. I think most force fed, high achieving kids just wished they had had a normal childhood.
  4. If its kosher, and I don't think it is,then its abusive. Parents who push their kids, male or female, for their own warped agenda are bad news all round. I've always found the loudest parents on the touch line are the ones trying to make up for their own inadequacies.
  5. The weights may well be made of wood.?
  6. Aye must be great to have the money to do just that. It would be a fascinating documentary.
  7. I'm only winding you up. Do it. Report back. Be interesting to see the sights and hear what people have to say.
  8. Would this be some sort of anal, retro longing for the long lost british empire? ? It's gone mate. Get over it. We're just a little island which finds it difficult to come to terms with our own unimportance.??
  9. I remember when I was kid of 19 telling my boss I was jacking if he didn't put me on better jobs instead of all the crap jobs and I was fed up of being the lowest paid on the team. He replied " well f**k off then, you f****n cowboy". So I did. A couple of years later I asked my new boss for a rise because I was a vital member of the team ,prepared to work at short notice and prepared to work away. (I had learned tact.lol)He gave me an extra quid a week which was a lot in the early seventies. That, crudely, is supply and demand, and collective ( individual) bargaining in operat
  10. That's capitalism mate. If the employer says £ 15 is my final offer, you either accept it or you move elsewhere where there's better pay.
  11. Yes, the minimum wage has become the norm. Employers can't see beyond it. We used to have collective bargaining but that is seen as old fashioned now.
  12. Farm near me relies totally on foreign labour. Workers live on site in employer owned caravans and work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. Horrible way to live. Most of them are pissed up the majority of the time on cheap vodka.
  13. I can't understand why the minimum wage is not nearer 15 quid per hour given that there are labour shortages. That Rynair owner was bleating yesterday about brits not wanting to pick fruit or work as baggage handlers. But the pay is a tenner an hour or less. There's always a balance ,double or triple the hourly rate and people will do it.
  14. Those may be average salaries I don't know where you arrived at those figures but you need to look at median salaries. In other words what most people actually get. If you take a surgeon on a hundred grand and a cleaner on twenty and average those salaries, you come to the conclusion that the average salary in the NHS is sixty grand. Check out the median salaries of the jobs you mention. I checked the figure supplied by the ONS and it is circa £32000 for aa UK worker. The NHS and the Rail unions dispute your figures. The people who will suffer when barristers take action is the or
  15. Its going to be some summer of discontent. Rail workers, barristers, post office workers, nurses, teachers and probably many more groups of workers have all had enough. I think the public will sympathise not criticise. Everybody is feeling the pinch. Hold on to your hats, gonna be a long summer.
  16. Darn funny that remark. Had me in stitches. Life is a tapestry.
  17. Think these unfortunates should be protected from themselves. Surgery doesn't cure anything imo.It just makes them look odd, and then they become victims because kids and yobs poke fun at them.Medics should concentrate on their minds, not on their bodies.
  18. Upper class money laundering. Dodgy 3 million with nothing expected in return? ?
  19. I had a bitch out of Blue. It was useless. A real comic. When it saw a hare it would never actually course it, it would try and herd it and sometimes run a few fields away expecting the hare to suddenly appear in front of it. It was always car sick. Somebody had to travel with it with a bucket under its nose. It would howl and run under a hedge at night whenever there was any heavy rain or hail. (To be fair it's coat was very thin, like a greyhound.) It had a 'happy tail' which needed bandaging all the time otherwise it would spray blood all over the place. It would pick fights with other bitc
  20. Nothing to see here....move along now. Prince Charles given €3m in cash in bags by Qatari politician, according to report | Prince Charles | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Money was passed immediately to one of the prince’s charities, says Clarence House
  21. Nobody should judge others until they have walked in their shoes.
  22. Clever. Pig would have contaminated the water supply.?
  23. Wasn't that long ago that Charlie was supporting a paedophile bishop who was a close friend of his. One of his brothers is a famous paedophile too. Sometimes these conspiracy theorists begin to make sense.?
