  1. Where was costner when she needed him?
  2. Sometimes the smoker just won't shift em, then you've gotta either dig them out or ferret them. I've never had a ferret killed by a rat, bitten yes but they won't just get mauled if they aren't winning they come off. When I was a kid i had an albino Jill that took some stick of rats and never jibbed. She was scarred up like a well worked terrier.
  3. Killed a few manky rats in a game crop and fixed up the dogs beds. Oh and I opened up a can of whoop ass on the greenhouse we wanted rid of I love smashing stuff.
  4. Farmers are just miserable gits out your way. Have none of them got kids your age you could get in with?
  5. I paid a tenner each for the last kits I bought which was over the asking price because it was going to charity I only ever charged people I don't know too when i've sold kits.
  6. Utter Bollocks !! Why's it utter bollocks? You get pats that won't mix it and Russels that go for the kill I cant see how people can determine a dogs working style through its colour?
  7. For breeding them in or just keeping a few mules? You only need a couple of double breeders if its for having a go at breeding
  8. If you get the dog from a pup it won't bother stuff you train it not to. Mine doesn't look at my daughters rabbit and guinea pigs. I wouldn't trust him with them running loose though.
  9. You'll probably find the vast majority of pest controllers don't even own a working dog, I didn't see anything dodgey in the question. Some dogs do mess about killing them mate, try her out with another dog and see if that encourages her to kill them quicker. My lurcher runs round with them in his gob chewing him just so the terrier can't pinch them.
  10. Got one in the middle of a paddock that we had 32 out of when it was about a 7 holer, not a nettle or bramble in sight. It's about a dozen holes now and never as productive as that first time but normally holds a couple.
  11. Is that markbrick with soot in his highlights? Nice looking dog mate.
  12. If the dog attacked his then would he not be able to claim self defence? I dread mine being attacked, with the law being the ass it is id probably get done for defending them and the tw@ who's dog it was would end up with compo.
  13. Full english or a cheese and pickle butty, can't decide between the two.
  14. Worked this morning, met my mate who brought me a new canary hen then went ratting around a game crop and got a dozen. Ferreting tomorrow.
  15. Looks a brilliant day moll, makes my dozen look a bit naff. Our cover crops just dont seem to hold as many but a dozen a day will do me and keep these nutters quiet . I'm gonna have to get another border when i find some at a fair price.
  16. Your rewarding her for biting there mate, if mine bit me it would get something but it wouldn't be a reward
  17. I've got my muling pairs together to hopefully bond and not yet decided what im gonna do with the other canaries yet so their in together. Might breed a batch of fife x fancy for muling with next year.
  18. My old whippet was a picky eater but she would eat tripe till she looked like a barrel, the two I've got now keep going back to their bowls and give it another lick after tripe too. It's worth a try mixed in with the beta.
  19. Cotoneasters are ok for screening too.

    Wellies

We get steel toe wellies given to us at work so I wear them. Dickies land master i think they are.
  21. If you end up stuck with any that only throw a bit of variegation I'll kindly take them off your hands hopefully I'll breed a few mules of my own this year. Keeping an eye out for another cock finch at the mo.
  22. Cracking birds there mate. Were the variegated ones bred from pea throat cocks and dimorphics?
  23. That bloke in the first vid reminds me of an old feller who used to keeper our local estate, he was still out on his bike ferreting and snaring well in his eighties and he bred the best ferrets ive ever seen. Unfortunately passed away a few years back and his ferrets got passed on before i could get them.
  24. You need a marking dog mate, feck netting loads of empty holes. Did you walk past any shitty looking holes that looked empty? You'd be surprised sometimes when out with the dog its only the dead looking holes full of leaves that they mark.
