  1. Little owl (retrieved and released) and a full house brick which the dog sent a good distance across the field but luckily he kept his teeth intact.
  2. Birds get leathered on every bit of ground surrounding our local shoot (and on it) for the simple reason that the keeper is a grade A CNUT! I have keepered and been on plenty of shoots and the more time I spend with them the less I can stand them, especially some of the ignorant rich tw@s that shoot, some of the pickers up who have spent stupid money on well bred dogs just so they can breed the arse out of them and the beaters that walk round sucking up to the keeper in the faint hope that they will get a bit of shooting off him. There are decent working class lads out there who shoot but they
  3. Just sorted my ringtone out, cheers I've been trying to find that again for years

Piece of piss mate asking as you have a basket or summat to carry it round in.

Unless your going for the basket method mate you don't need to buy poles, cut some straight privet or hazel as thick as your finger and as long as you want. I'd use 5 on the net. If you want it as a quick set you won't need end pins. There's a few online suppliers who sell poles and pins whichever you decide on. Apparently golf course flags are quite good for quickset poles
  6. What's the script with all the locators and collars then? You've sold more than our local gun shop.
  7. Get some proper end pins and gather the meshes up on one pin as you go along then wrap the other around it to stop it falling off and fasten the pins together with a rubber band.
  8. I got some for my cousins old lab and they didn't half make a difference too
  9. Finally bought our first house and it was purely by accident we got one with a big brick shed with windows and electric and plenty of flagged area for aviaries I picked up the block of cages last weekend so just a couple of pics off my phone so their not the best. Just need some more canary hens now, possibly another goldie cock and a bit of luck for next season Cheers, Gnipper
  10. When I was after my first ferret as a kid I phoned a number in a local shop and went round to this blokes house to look at an albino hob he was selling and feck me I think the monster would have given the biggest hobs in these pics a run for their money, i've seen smaller adult cats. I would have got a lot of ferret for a fiver but I valued my fingers too much . I left that one there and got a normal sized hob off a mate who I still gerret with now nearly 20 years later.
  11. Is he house trained and jabbed up mate? Whats he like with kids? I might know of a cracking pet home for him.
  12. I got about 115 for mine on ebay a few years ago, if people wanna pay it the let em. It paid for my lurcher when I sold mine
  13. Good luck finding good homes for the pups mate. A 3/4 isn't a first cross either
  14. Why come on a hunting forum Jac when its blindingly obvious you have never and probably never will work your ferrets?
  15. Give the useless one to a pet home, job done.
  16. Haven't all ferrets got webbed feet? Along with the pointy face it will make no difference to her working ability, some ferrets have blunt faces some are really pointy just depends how they been bred.
  17. I have used mine beating and he will retrieve (can't get the fecker off him though) but it won't look good if they drop to ground mid wood especially if its on something they shouldn't or wind a fox and crash straight through the wood at the end of the drive when your trying to get the birds to come out steadily. I used to use my old border a lot for beating and he was ok but when some toffs lab came over with its hackles up he couldn't help himself and went straight for the throat i'm sure the mad sod was racist coz it was always the black labs
  18. I asked santa for it and she told me to feck off at the price so it looks like i'm buying myself a copy
  19. I thought the mk2 didn't work with any other locator boxes or collars? They made the mk3 because they realised they had dropped a bollock with the mk2 because it was completely crap, they rushed it out and hadn't field tested it enough then when they realised where they had gone wrong the mk3 came out very soon after and I think they discontinued the mk2?
  20. Most springers you see on the shoots round here nowadays are cocker size/build anyway, what happened to good old springers built like tanks? Some of the best springers i've seen were bow legged and ugly but would work any cover and would find and retrieve anything.
  21. Its not the mk2 you need its the mk3 non magnetic collars your after. Its the type I use and prefer them to the mk3m.
  22. I hope the cat that ate my mule the other day choked or his leg rings caused a blockage.
