  1. When the jills about a week off dropping she'll moult her fur so after that just keep an ear out for squeaking coming from the nest box. When you do hear them leave well alone for at least a week while the Jill forms a bond with the kits, if you peep and mider too soon some jills can kill the young. Make sure the jill has plenty of food, whole carcass preferably. The kits will start sucking meat at a few weeks old and their eyes can start opening from 3 weeks. This imo is the time to start handling them but watch out for mum as she may be a tad frisky, give her a treat to occupy her or put her
  2. My boss buys pallets of complete at a time and shares it out amongst his gundog buddies, when you've got 5 or 6 labs they soon get through some food.
  3. Christians are having a kip at the back of the box
  4. My left hand/arm always gets pins and needles due to my knackered shoulder. I slipped on ice pissed up a few years back. I think its the ulnar? nerve the physio said. Its worse if I lay on my left which is my most comfortable sleeping position, I stop myself doing it but then roll over in my sleep and wake up with a dead arm and then pins and needles for the first hour or two of the day. Good job I'm a skinny wee fecker
  5. I can just picture it now, 2 lads keeping their heads down participating in their quiet sport (maybe they weren't meant to be there) then some lad they don't know lurcher in tow (bull x ?) starts midering over the fence at the top of his voice. I reckon your lucky they just ignored you rather than telling you to F off.

  10. That's mental! Why do they do that? I've never seen, or heard of, that before. Are they taking the piss? If you watch a roller sing it doesn't/shouldn't open its beak, kind of like us humming I suppose.
  11. Meant to be getting it up the road here too, its not a bad thing though there's a couple of foxes knocking about at work need finding.
  12. You can buy it in a bottle still mate but there's something left out of it apparently ( I never used the old stuff) it smells different and doesn't have the effect it had before.

  15. Is it definitely the switch? Most dodgy lamps I've known have been little breaks in the wire that get progressively worse.
  16. rollers quiet ??? Maybe quiet was the wrong word but they certainly aren't the loudest, how can they be with their mouth shut?
  17. If your going for an entirely raw diet then you need to feed some bones for the dog to chew on, one of the benefits of a raw diet is it keeps their teeth clean (preventing gum disease and other ailments) which you won't get when feeding mince.
  18. Give the miserable twat at rainford a miss if I were you mate.
  19. Train the dog to behave and then let it see rabbits.

  22. Goldfinch mules, timbrados, wateralagers. There's loads of different types for singing but all cock canaries will belt out a tune (apart from rollers which are quite quiet) so try some cheap fifes.
