  1. Not bad for free eh. I've dismantled, moved, creosoted and re built this today. I'm not sure wether to use it for little birds or get some pigeons. It might even end up a ferret court yet
  2. Good luck finding good homes for them and I hope things get easier with your little girl.
  3. I'd try and find a canine chiropracter and see what he can do. I would imagine you would have to wait until any swelling has gone down first though so he can get a proper feel of things.
  4. I've had a look at the vents on a couple of canaries like that recently and just assumed they were meant to look like that when approaching lay rather than being egg bound?
  5. Nice one. Had she layed then not for a day or two or was it her first egg you were waiting on?
  6. thank you mate for the kind words means alot , had her with me all day I've been working on a 300 yr old house restoring it and she sat by the open fire all day happy as larry atb JD That dog must think it has died and gone to heaven. How anyone can let a dog get like that is beyond me, I agree with everyone else the b*****ds that let her get like that need stringing up and I bet they're on here or someone on here knows them.
  7. I wouldn't have a clue mate but fingers crossed she pulls through for you.
  8. My first greeny eggs, she's sitting tight now.
  9. I've used a white cock on a yellow hen this year, could that produce blues?
  10. If your breeding ferrets for ratting then you need medium sized stock that can take a nip and go back for another. I do ferret rats now and again and 1 of my jills is a cracker on them but the other stronger more aggressive jill is a shithouse on them and comes away if they look like standing their ground. I did rats all the time when I was a kid and had some cracking ferrets back then.
  11. How dare you people put his picture up
  12. Its a mix of the shape and the thinning fur that made me think preggers.
  13. The cold won't bother them provided their drinker doesn't freeze. What's the fascination with blue birds anyway? Blue mules are quite common too bred from white type canaries.
  14. I'd put money on most of the kits you see for sale on preloved etc in the summer being bred from brother and sister which were last years kits.
  15. I was thinking the same about the white jill, if she's not up the duff I'd be very surprised.
  16. Their something to do with white canaries that's all I know.
  17. Matt the Rat is a highly respected pest control operative with a vast knowledge on all things to do with pest control. However, if he sees photos that he does not like, he has no problem contacting the relevant authorities and showing them the photos just to clarify his thoughts on the matter. TC A grass then?
  18. Had some Irish hatch today, couple more on eggs and 2 hens laying to my linnet cock. My greenies in the aviary have layed their first egg too.
  19. I've never used horse hair but the terrier donates his coat to the birds in the summer
  20. Tbh mate I think I've got more chance teaching her to brew up than that.
  21. I've got a like new pair of brass muzzles I bought years ago. Ones bigger than the other. How much are these worth?
  22. from what i remember labs are one of the breeds statistically most likely to attack a person. the lads a nugget. Down to sheer volume of lab owners I'd say....I've yer to see a lab with a nasty streak towards people. There's a funny one lives near us and the owner (a cockhead) let's it roam all over the place, out of all the labs I've met that ones the worst. I can't wait for the big sod to get splattered by a wagon.
