    Funnily enough,I have only ever seen one and that must have been close to 50 years ago. What surprises me though the bird was sitting on the floor on the edge of a common and I was able to pick it up, it made no attempt to fly away. This must have been around June or July because we had dammed a stream for a swimming hole and were having a day there and a picnic.
